Tong Park Esholt Cricker Club Flood Recovery Fund
Tong Park Esholt Cricket Club were devastated by flooding on Boxing Day 2015.
We are a community cricket club running 3 senior and 3 junior teams made up predominantly of local players. We are based in Esholt, West Yorkshire, a picturesque ground just a short walk from the original Emmerdale soap opera set and Woolpack pub.
Unprecedented levels of flood water caused around £200,000 worth of damage and resulted in us being unable to use our ground for the 2016 season. Despite insurance, help from the ECB, Sport England, local council and donations from the local community we still need to raise a further £30,000 to continue our recovery and make our club a stronger and sustainable one for the future.
We have received many exciting donations to help us raise those much needed funds but will need further assistance going forward, all proceeds go directly into our flood recovery fund.
