Please Note: The first 13 items on this auction page are being auctioned live at the dinner on the 19th July. Please enter your maximum bid for these items before Tuesday 18th July at 12:00 noon. That way you can ensure you have the best chance of winning the item before it goes through to the live auction.

Bidding on all other items is available also online until Tuesday 18th July at 12.00 noon.  Following this, bidding will continue in the silent auction at the dinner on 19th July.  If you are not attending the dinner, you can also place a maximum bid on any of these items and the system will continue to bid up to your maximum on the night.

You will be informed after the event if you are the winning bidder.

The Vernon Monument 'Falklands 35' Charity Dinner at Trinity House on 19 July will commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Falklands War. It will also raise funds towards the monument planned at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth to celebrate the minewarfare & diving heritage of HMS VERNON which previously occupied the site. It will be attended by a Royal VVIP (identity to be announced in a separate press release) as well as the former Royal Marine, TV broadcaster, writer, biologist and inspirational speaker Monty Halls. Popular nautical entertainer Shep Woolley will deliver an after dinner speech.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
