The Sheriffs of the City of London Alderman Gregory
Jones KC and David Chalk are delighted to host the ninth Sheriffs’ Ball on
Friday 19 September 2025 in the spectacular setting of Guildhall.
The Sheriffs’ Great Gatsby Ball will celebrate the
glamour and sophistication of the Roaring Twenties whilst marking the 100th
anniversary of this timeless, iconic novel. This fun, prestigious evening will
include a fizz and cocktail reception, sumptuous three course fine dining menu,
silent auction, enthralling entertainment, a DJ, live music and the ever
popular dancing.
We have some fabulous lots on offer in the auction
so please help us to raise as much as possible to support the fantastic work of
our beneficiary charities The Lord Mayor’s Appeal (supporting The Royal Foundation's Homewards programme and MQ Mental Health Research) and The Sheriffs’ and
Recorder’s Fund.

A bottling of ‘The Master’s Cask’ bearing the crest of The Worshipful Company of Distillers. It is a 15 year old aged Highland single malt scotch whisky distilled at Royal Brackla Distillery, its first royal warrant granted by King William IV in 1833. This interesting oloroso sherry cask gives it muscular notes enveloping floral and fruity summer notes, with a dry cereal finish. Part of a limited edition run, these bottles are only sold within the Livery world and have never been made available to the public, making this a rare, unique and highly collectable malt whisky. 1 x 70cl bottle, 57.3% vol.
