Welcome to Habitats & Heritage's SECRET ART AUCTION!

Thank you to all the generous Royal Academicians, Illustrators, Cartoonists, Photographers, TV personalities and many more talented, professional and amateur artists who generously contributed their works to raise funds for our conservation work across south & west London.

We are excited to reveal this year's brilliant collection features 266 original works from 147 artists! For full list of the artists, please visit our biography page.

2024 Secret Art Auction artists include:

Royal Academicians Ian Ritchie CBE, Richard Wilson, Katherine Jones, Nigel Coates, Vanessa Jackson and Mick Rooney; renowned artists Julian Opie, Andrew Pierre Hart, Ian Sidaway RI, Rob and Nick Carter, Janette Kerr PPRWA HRSA, Susie Hamilton, Sophie Carter, and Maxine Hart; an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed illustrator of some of the most well-loved children's books (including The Gruffalo) and Habitats & Heritage patron Axel Scheffler; cartoonists Kipper Williams, Louis Hellman and Nick Bridson Baker; illustrator David Mackintosh; writer, photographer and explorer Levison Wood; an award-winning underwater photographer Gina Goodman; wildlife photographers Richard Sheldrake and Alastair Marsh and MANY more renowned as well as emerging artists! 

About the auction:

• All the artworks are A5 size (unless stated otherwise), unframed and signed on the back.
• Bids start from £30 (+ £3 for first class signed delivery for each piece of art). 
• Each bid must be at least £1 more than the previous bid.
• The auction runs until 10pm on Saturday 28th September.
• All contributing artists will be revealed against the picture of their art on Habitats & Heritage website after the event.
• Please note it is UK delivery only.

How to bid?

• Click on the red Sign In/Register button at the top right hand of the screen. 
• Scroll through the available auction lots. 
• Click on an item to view the image and the description. 
• Enter your bid amount and Bid Now. 
• You will receive an onscreen message to confirm your bid which will also display on the leaderboard. You will also receive a confirmation email of your bid, and an email notification when you are outbid. 
• If you are the highest bidder, you will receive an email notification once the auction ends.
• All bids are final, there are no exchanges, and all items are sold ‘as is’.
• To check the status of your bids, go to Account Settings, My Bids.
  

Where do the proceeds go?

Habitats & Heritage is a Twickenham based charity that acts for the natural and historic environment in south and west London. Join our Secret Art Auction, grab yourself a masterpiece and most importantly, help us raise crucial funds that allow us to continue our work. Your purchase might just create new habitats and join up the green corridor to better support our vital biodiversity. Or, give a young person the opportunity to meaningfully interact with nature. Or maybe it will protect your favourite local heritage asset.
