A striking framed photograph (12x8 inches) taken by Award Winning Photographer Joe Short of CONNIE HARDWICK, one of the RUH’s wonderful NHS workers wearing her full PPE kit that she has to wear whilst working in the hospital during this pandemic.
A quote from Connie:
“The last few months have only been made possible from the huge generosity from the local community with donated PPE, well being boxes and the patients wishing us well. It has been scary looking back, the unexpected of what may happen and how do we help prevent this unknown virus- something we have never encountered before. The sadness for the lives that have been taken and the families affected. However I have immense pride in how the healthcare community had banded together and united for this one cause. There is still work to be done but knowing a community is behind us we will beat this.“

Joe has worked with celebrities and premium brands as well as providing photography to some of the world’s leading hotels.
“People are the most important part of any occasion. Connection with those around us is paramount and recent events have reminded of us of this more than ever. My approach has always been to keep things light and relaxed with an eye for capturing unrepeatable moments as they happen.”

A beautiful unframed print of an original acrylic painting by Bath artist David Ringsell.
Measurements: A2
The painting depicts a pool at the Roman Baths in cool shades of blue. A reminder of the historic healing properties of the Roman Baths.
The harmonious architecture of his home city Bath has inspired many recent paintings. He provides a contemporary take on classic architecture. These striking compositions are realistic but retain a painterly quality. Sometimes areas of the painting are left blank to emphasize the contrast between reality and it's representation. There's a craftsmen like attention to detail.

Beautiful framed 55x44cm print by talented photographer and artist Jason Dorley-Brown.
Jason’s ‘eye’ has developed from working with photographers and artists as a photographic printer and producer. He describes his work as having a photographic genesis before being manipulated with the use of modern image software.
Much of his work has a ‘pop art’ feel and his love of strong colour, symmetry and contrast makes his work distinctive.

A striking framed photograph (12x8 inches) taken by Award Winning Photographer Joe Short of RUM CHALAL, one of the RUH’s wonderful NHS workers wearing her full PPE kit that she has to wear whilst working in the hospital during this pandemic.
A quote from Rum:
“It has been incredible to see the true meaning of community spirit - meals from restaurants, homemade masks and scrubs, even blue lights lighting up houses. At times it was scary going into work not knowing what you would be dealing with and wearing PPE all day in the heat was tough. The support of colleagues, friends and family made it possible though and it will be a time I will look back on with mixed emotions - sadness for all the lives lost but also pride in the way our community helped each other in our time of need.”

Bath based artist Rob Highton's painting ‘Hope’ is drawn from the statue of the Angel of Peace in Parade Gardens, Bath. This bronze statue holds in one hand an olive branch, the symbol of peace, and in the other an orb, the emblem of sovereignty and global cooperation.
A bit about the painting from Rob, the artist ...
"Our doctors and nurses have dealt so valiantly with the unexpected enemy of an unknown virus, risking their lives each day. The verdigrises’ is the angel and in my painting, particularly on the face, takes on an expression of time worn tears, emotional documents of those who looked after them and saw them leaving. The blues and greens in the painting reference the medical garments and PPE that have become so familiar.
Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing, once said “Were there none who were discontented with what they have, the world would never reach anything better.” This sentiment, shown in gold at the base of the work, perfectly illustrates how positive action in adversity always gives hope for the future, and how we do have an amazing ability to reinvent and recharge and restructure the way we live when the stakes are high to protect each other and our future."
About the artist:
Rob has always specialised in figurative artwork in traditional artist’s media and over a period of 10 years he’s produced a series of action portraits of sports people in acrylic and oils as commercial prints for the collector’s market. In recent year’s Rob’s work has continued to be strongly informed by his painting, but now draws heavily on photographic images, grainy background textures and layered digital imagery. Still wedded to the figurative, his latest ‘storytelling’ prints use rich colours that push his compositions towards the abstract. His artwork can be produces as Giclée prints and as printed canvases.

A striking framed photograph (12x8 inches) taken by Award Winning Photographer Joe Short of ALICE CAMERON, one of the RUH’s wonderful NHS workers wearing her full PPE kit that she has to wear whilst working in the hospital during this pandemic.
A quote from Alice:
“Through such difficult times, people in lockdown made PPE because they wanted to take care of us, this enabled us to safely take care of our patients. I saw rainbows painted on windows and pavements as I walked to work; the kindness and support shown by our community was remarkable and humbling, and I am incredibly grateful.”
Joe Short is an award winning photographer based in the UK, shooting primarily weddings and events throughout Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, America, China and New Zealand. He has had the privilege of photographing two Royal Weddings including private coverage for The Duke & Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle.

A stunning unframed print of an acrylic painting by Bath artist David Ringsell.
Measurements: A2
This print is a custom giclee print showing the view of the back of Pulteney Bridge. Detail shows the peeling paint and stained paintwork. The darker side of Bath artchitecture has always interested the artist.

The steeple of St Swithin’s Church, Bath below the air balloon create a dramatic composition. I started painting this, by chance, just a lock-down started. The isolated elements echoed social distancing measures that had just been introduced. Taking a secluded balloon journey must be gloriously remote.

This picture depicts Bath's beautiful North Parade. A stunning framed oil painting by Peter Brown, an award winning artist, more affectionately known as Pete the Street - a nickname he earned from his habit of working from life initially on the streets of Bath in the mid 90’s and now around the world.
Trained in Bath and Manchester he is keen only to work from life doing what he calls “see and put’.
“I remember painting this on a rare bright sunny autumn day. I had a banging headache but could not resist the last autumn leaves back lit and glowing in the low sun.”

This original painting in a contemporary black frame is by David Ringsell. It measures 33cm across x 43cm high.
A side street close to Abbey Green caught at sunset. The empty Georgian terraces create a dramatic composition.
The harmonious architecture of his home city of Bath has inspired many of David’s recent paintings. He provides a contemporary take on classic architecture. These striking compositions are realistic but retain a painterly quality. Sometimes areas of the painting are left blank to emphasize the contrast between reality and it's representation. There's a craftsmen like attention to detail.
