A unique opportunity to acquire number 5 of a limited edition of 6 of Emma’s Portman Fox. Measures nose to tail 2.5 inches, and top of base to back 12 inches. Cast in bronze so wonderfully heavy. Emma Mac Dermott, has been a sculptor for nearly forty years and has built a reputation for her life-sized horses and jockeys, and animals and people, all cast in bronze. Emma uses the Lost Wax Method (cire perdue), and states: “making a bronze is a complicated and difficult process, involving several separate stages and is for me a collaboration with some wonderful craftsmen and women, drawing on an ancient tradition”.

Rob’s Christmas Trees, a labour of love for many years. The trees are grown at Woodmann Cott, just outside Winchester. Trees are cut mid November, come into the yard to be netted and ready for sale.
The successful bidder can choose from two types of trees, a Nordmann Fir, or the traditional Norway Spruce.
The Nordmann Fir has a smoother, thicker needle, not sharp, and a lovely glossy dark green colour. It will also keep its needles better for a longer period when kept inside the house.
The Norway Spruce has a narrower, thinner and often spiked needle, but considered the traditional Christmas tree. They have a lovely shape with lots of branches, making them perfect for lots of decorations. And a lovely ‘Christmassy’ scent.
With both trees, Rob advises to cut an inch off the stump and keep them watered whilst they are inside.
This lot is for a pot-grown tree up to 5 foot, height buyer’s preference subject to availability. Can be delivered in Portman country. For this Christmas 2025.

In Michelle’s words: The calm, grazing Charolais cattle made from drawings in a hill field on the Welsh border. It was a sunny day and the herd moved slowly in the paddock. I wanted to capture the peacefulness.
Michelle McCullagh specialises in large oil paintings of animals in movement. A fascination with animals, and many years studying anatomy and drawing animals from life have led her to the paintings she produces now- an exciting collaboration of colour, paint and passion for life.
Michelle has had four solo exhibitions in London and is building up her portfolio for her next big exhibition. She studied at Falmouth college of Arts and now works in her beautiful studio in Holwell, North Dorset.

This is a stunning oil on board, in small box frame. measuring 10x30cm (including frame). Of a favourite racing scene, early morning walking down the gallops. Executed in Katie’s characteristic painterly style, it captures movement and delivers vibrancy. Katie has been painting full time since graduating from Plymouth University in 2000 and is now a well established fine artist, with equestrianism, landscape, and canines being her main subjects. Having ridden, including in point to points, and owned horses for most of her life, Katie has an unconscious knowledge of horses that is evident in her portrayal of all things equine. This painting will be available to view in the Silent Auction tent on the day.

Harry tells us a little bit more about his birds:
“Our turkeys are free to roam outside, subject to current guidelines, on the farm during the day and housed safely overnight in small groups. We have been slow growing turkeys with care and passion to produce the most succulent meat bursting in flavour. Being small allows us to focus on the details: Producing the highest quality, best welfare products; providing you with what you need just in time for the most important date in the diary.”
Harry will deliver within a twenty five mile radius of Badbury Rings and the bird will be in the region of 5 to 6.5kg.

An afternoon's introduction to beekeeping. This will include an explanation of the life and work of the honeybee, understand the different equipment used as well as the importance of pollination to our lives. Much of the time will be spent opening and looking into hives, identifying the different types of bee (including trying to find the queen) and their roles within the hierarchy and what happens within the structure of the hive. There will be an opportunity to taste and more importantly take home some honey and understand what it takes to be a beekeeper.
This active session will be followed by relaxation over afternoon tea, an event enjoyed by most beekeepers.
The opportunity would be for one or two people. Bee suits will be supplied. It would ideally take place, weather permitting any time between May and July 2026. What an alternative way to spend an afternoon and get to really appreciate some of the wonders of nature.

3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
