Sunshine Sing-along for Memory have also just celebrated their 10^th anniversary. They seek to improve the quality of life for people living with memory loss and their carers within our community through fellowship and music. They meet in the St Michael’s Parish Church Hall on the second Thursday of every month to enjoy a light lunch followed by an hour of singing favourite songs, each month with a different theme. No church connection is needed. Research has proven that the singing of favourite songs from the past can stimulate memory and even improve speech in those who are finding it harder to communicate. Fellowship also allows carers and those with memory loss to relax in a welcoming environment with others facing similar challenges

West Lothian Foodbank is a local organisation which works with people across the county, supporting anyone who doesn’t have enough money to afford the essentials. They provide emergency food to those who are hungry or at risk of hunger. They make time for a cup of tea, treating people with dignity and connecting them to the wider support they need to address the underlying causes of their crisis. They work alongside their partners, bringing services to where people need them in their community. They are part of the Trussell Trust network. Together they share a vision for a UK where no one needs a food parcel to survive.

YOUTHSPACE is the new operating name of Linlithgow Young People’s Project (LYPP). It is a youth project which has been planted in the heart of the community for more than 36 years ago. Since then, the size and scope of the project has increased significantly however its mission to foster a sense of hope in the lives and circumstances of young people has stayed the same. YOUTHSPACE do this by providing more than 1700 safe, supportive, and encouraging sessions each year including community drop-ins, schools work, volunteering opportunities, and holiday programmes. They also run a Health and Wellbeing Hub within the town which is home to their donation based Youth Counselling Service and mentoring project.
