Whisky Election

Forget the recent elections - now for something light-hearted! 

As my Mayoral Year comes to an end, I am launching a unique/bit of fun Election (popularity contest) in aid of the Lullaby Trust - one of my four Mayoral Charities for this year.

I became Mayor of Darlington in June 2020, a proud moment. Amanda, my wife, became Mayoress. Amanda is a nurse Practitioner in Darlington and I have background with the NHS. We support and recognise those who have been operating on the front line- Darlington COVID Lockdown heroes. 

As part of my year as Mayor I have worked (With the support of the Country Durham Community Foundation) to support and raise funds for charitable causes including the Lullaby trust.  They do outstanding work nationally.  On a personal note, following the death of our son William in 1991, their support programme for our subsequent three daughters was priceless. 

I have 3 bottles of whisky from the House of Commons signed by Keir Starmer, Boris Johnson and Caroline Lucas.  Sadly, I couldn’t get a Liberal Democrat Bottle.

Here’s how the prize draw will work:

· Select which bottle you want and click on the relevant ticketshop link to the right

· Buy as few or as many tickets as you want for as little or as many bottles (1, 2 or 3)

· The draw will take place at Midday on the 20th of May

· 3 Bottles to be won plus which ever raises the most will be the win the Popularity contest 

All proceeds raised across these three ticket shops will be donated to the Lullaby trust to help support their amazing work.
