1. Introduction
By registering for or participating in the Charity Auction (“Auction”), participants (“Bidders”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Auction is organised by Future Pillars Zambia (“the Organiser”) to raise funds for its charitable activities.
2. Eligibility
1. Participants must be 18 years or older to place a bid.
2. Employees, volunteers, and trustees of the Organiser may bid unless otherwise stated.
3. Registration
1. All bidders must register before participating in the Auction.
2. The Organiser may require identification and contact information for registration.
3. By registering, bidders agree that their information may be used for administrative purposes only related to the Auction.
4. Bidding Rules
1. All bids are considered binding offers to purchase the item at the bid amount.
2. The highest bid at the close of bidding will be deemed the winning bid.
3. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Auctioneer is final.
4. Minimum bid increments may apply and will be announced during the Auction.
5. Payment
1. Winning bidders are expected to pay the full amount for their items on the day of the Auction.
2. Accepted payment methods will include cash or bank transfer.
6. Item Descriptions and Condition
1. All items are offered “as is.”
2. The Organiser makes reasonable efforts to ensure item descriptions are accurate but does not guarantee condition, authenticity, or value unless explicitly stated. Vouchers must be redeemed within the stated validity period; expired items cannot be refunded.
7. Liability
1. The Organiser is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Auction or use of auction items.
2. Participation is at the bidder’s own risk.
8. Cancellation or Changes
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Auction or any item listed if circumstances require.
9. Privacy
Personal information collected during registration will be used only for administering the Auction and communicating with participants, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
