When Scottish portrait artist Mark Sib set out to capture the faces and spirit of Scotland's World Cup story, he wasn't simply painting a team, he was preserving a moment in time for future generations.

Remarkably, it is paired with something that began its own journey over 25 years ago.

On 10 June 1998, as Scotland took to the field against Brazil in the opening match of the World Cup, a cask of spirit was filled in Edinburgh and laid down to mature. While the painting captures this story in the present, the whisky has been patiently waiting in the background ever since, distilled on that historic day and only now ready to be enjoyed.

Together, they create a compelling dialogue across time. One is a work of art created today to be treasured in the future. The other is a whisky laid down in the past to be enjoyed today.
