Lizzy's Story

Lizzy, now 17, has lived with debilitating malaise, pain, fatigue, weakness and dizziness since she was 13. Now a new surgical procedure has become available that enables the causative brain stem compression to be relieved via spinal fusion. The only possibility of this is to travel to Barcelona where the European expert, Dr Gilete, has his clinic. Dr Gilete has met Lizzy and has confirmed that she is a candidate for surgery which will take place on 2nd March 2020. This operation as to be funded privately and costs £63,000 (inc post surgery care). She has dreams of leading a normal life and working as a health care professional.
