Mark was a dominant name for newborn boys from the early 1960s and through the late 1970s. It’s therefore a name more common for those who could be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Some Marks wondered what if they could start by getting 88 Marks to commit their support to play in a Marks Golf Day and a World Record. That idea creates a story they hope to engage the 550,000 to 650,000 Marks in the UK and beyond to get involved to create a bigger conversation with everyone and funding support for Prostate Cancer.
A group of 30 members and guests raised £360,000 in 2025 by playing 100 Holes in one day for PROSTATE CANCER UK & Breast Cancer Now at Beaconsfield GC
ON YOUR MARKS will raise money for specific research by PROSTATE CANCER UK into the disease through genome sequencing and immunotherapy at Oxford University, led by Dr Hazimi. This research project aims to create a new treatment for Prostate Cancer by changing a man’s own immune cells to detect and destroy cancer cells.
