Later this month, Northampton Saints will take to the cricket field in Colombo for a special charity match against a team of Sri Lankan cricket legends, including members of the nation’s iconic 1996 World Cup-winning side.

As part of our preseason tour of Sri Lanka, Saints players will join forces with the Asia Pacific Lions to face some of the biggest names in Sri Lankan cricket, all with one shared goal: raising funds for the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation.

The Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation is Sri Lanka’s first and only organisation dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and cognitive impairment. For more than 20 years, the charity has provided vital services including memory screening, cognitive therapy programmes, caregiver support, and awareness campaigns across the country.

Dementia affects millions of people worldwide, placing significant emotional and practical challenges on individuals, families and carers. The Foundation relies heavily on donations and community support to continue delivering these life-changing services.

Northampton Saints are proud to support this important cause. We are collecting donations on behalf of the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation, with all funds raised through this page (less any applicable payment processing and transfer fees) being passed on to the charity following the tour.

Whether you’re a Saints supporter, a cricket fan, or simply someone who wants to help make a difference, every donation will help the Foundation continue its invaluable work supporting people living with dementia across Sri Lanka.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Funds raised through this page, after any applicable payment processing and bank transfer fees, will be donated to the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
