The NOT ON AMAZON and COMMUNITY CARE PACKAGE New Year's Eve 2021 Fundraiser.
Over the last 10 years child poverty and food insecurity has been on the rise nationally. It's a shocking fact that in 2020, as one of the richest countries in the world, we have working families who can't feed their children without the help of food banks. This problem has been brought fully into the spotlight by the Covid19 pandemic.
2020 has had a negative impact for a lot of people in lots of different ways but food poverty is a thing that looks set to grow in 2021.
Community Care Package is a Bristol based organisation made up of volunteers from local pubs and community groups. They are providing a free fresh food delivery service across the city, buying in bulk, packing food boxes and delivering them to those in need, all at no charge.
With furlough ending for some and unemployment rates rising, along with high numbers of people self isolating, it's likely the demand for these food boxes will go up over the coming winter months.
Community Care Package has really kept people from going hungry during 2020. So far, with a team of 250 volunteers they have delivered more than 20,000 boxes to over 5000 people and raised over £90,000 to spend on fruit and vegetables!
Each box averages a cost of £4 which is super cheap for the quality and nutritious value.
IF YOU NEED A BOX :

After we have covered our costs, proceeds are going Mind in Kingston and Pride in Surrey as our two chosen charities for 2021 and we give away tickets to various local schools for their fundraising. This year we are also giving 200 tickets to NHS staff as a small thank you for this awful year.
We are giving this auction a family ticket (2 adults and 2 kids) plus 2 nights camping, which is worth £130 in total.
Tickets will be emailed to the winner, which can be printed at home or shown on the Eventbrite app for entry on the weekend.

I was a professional dancer for many years, now in my retirement I found a hobby I really enjoyed. All my animals and characters are handmade with love from cotton materials and contain fibre filling.
I’m really pleased to donate Darcey Fox to be part of this auction as the money is going to such a worthwhile cause. I would normally sell my fox for £25 and I will pay the postage to the winners address, providing it is within the UK.
Best wishes,

I use Crystal decanters, carafes, gin bottles, vases anything that appeals to me. I am always searching for more attractive shapes and forms to work with. These can be new but mainly second hand/ vintage.
I transformed them into unique and original lamps. Can be used to create an enchanting ambience for numerous locations within your home or business.
They are USB powered and rechargeable.
I sell them through the marketplace called Etsy.

We are an unfunded “social circus” working with families and children wherever we are needed.
Unable to be a circus traveller this year for obvious reasons ....I turned my hand to these miniature sculpted Lovespoons .......sitting outside my caravan for hours in the sun carving, with my chickens pecking at the wood chips around my feet ......
Discovering “NOTONAMAZON' I posted them and was amazed by the response!
Sold all my makings within days and have been a busy mad old hermit whittling away to keep up with demand ever since ....thanks Jamie and the team ! I am so pleased to donate this tree spirit love spoon to the auction .... I have been selling them for £20 plus P&p of £3.
Much love to you all love and optimism will conquer the dollar ........

Our website retail value for this is £126.00
Postage is approximately £7 via Hermes but we will certainly endeavour to deliver if possible. Collection is also not a problem.
This candle-powered motor is entirely our own invention and is completely unique to the world. It is not a copy or adaptation of something else, it is completely unique to us and has taken over 5 years to develop from conception to birth. We hand build them in the Forest of Dean using locally sourced raw materials wherever possible and we apply our own special technology to bring it to life.
We are a fundamentally very socially conscious small team and we are horrified by the suffering this virus is causing to so many people. If we can all do one small thing to help those in need at this terrible time then maybe we will all get through this together in one piece.

I was inspired by the not on amazon group when they set up and all they stand for therefore i was glad to have the opportunity to support the charity in particular that there are a lot of struggling families this year.
I would like to donate a Harvester basket with a regular retail price of £40.

I have chosen to donate because I really believe that small businesses like mine should not be pushed out by the corporates. Give people a choice not a prescription!
The momentum of Not On Amazon has been heartening and genuine and the charity they have chosen to support is a hugely important one. I volunteer on my local foodbank's phonelines and have seen first hand the devastation food poverty causes to lives.
I'm donating one glass Coronavirus - worth £14. It's 3cm wide and comes on a red ribbon to hang from a window or Christmas Tree, commemorating a year none of us will forget.
Free first class postage (UK only) to the successful bidder.
Thank you for doing this, really looking forward to spending New Year's Eve in everyone's company!
All good wishes

Most of my Designs are based around the horseshoe nail. The nails are cast in silver formed into jewellery and have a very unique style.
I lived in Bristol for over 20 years and learned what I know about making Jewellery from the fabulous Alice Goldsack Silversmithing/Jewellery Courses.
I am donating a matching set - Necklace, Big Hoops and Bracelet.
There are so many people who have been so badly affected by COVID and all its complications, be it health wise or financially.
Food is the most fundamental thing a person needs and a little bit of love of course!
I have donated this jewellery set as a little bit of help and love from me.
I also know that the 'Not on Amazon' group has helped so many people and small businesses (including myself) by giving us a free platform to drum up some trade at this tricky time.
These Groups of people, the Community Care Package and Not on Amazon, have the kind of ethos that I completely agree with and will wholeheartedly support.
This set would normally sell for £200 and I'm happy to pay the postage on this item for the winning bidder.
Enjoy the Auction!

My name is Kate Andrew and I'm an artist living and working in South Devon. I paint predominantly British wildlife and wild flowers on many surfaces, but my favourite is reclaimed Cornish slate. I intend for my art to uplift you and bring you joy.
I responded to Jamie's call for donations, because food poverty is increasing and it is very concerning, especially as we all try to navigate this crisis. I feel that it is important to help each other, in any way we can.
This is something I can do to help.

Nobody should go hungry at any time of year, especially not children and hopefully the sale of this print will help to buy much needed food. Having been involved with collecting donations for homeless people where I live I have realised just how little some people have and it is good to be able to help.
VA Prints sells Ian Frasers' unique limited edition architectural prints. We have been producing these at our home studio near Oxford for several years and selling them on our website www.vaprints.co.uk
The print usually retails at £145 and we will post it to the winning bidder for free. It will be packed in acid free tissue paper in a strong postal tube. if the winning bidder decides they would like a different print to this one, at the same value, that is fine.

One of the reasons I got into making kids clothing is because of the shocking lack of choice of boys clothing. In my view boys like fun and playful clothing too!! My now 4 year old son loves getting involved in picking patterns and choosing colours to go with things. We love colour.
So I starting looking into fabric, and it would seem that buying fabric is pretty addictive

Approx size 65mm x 35mm with 2cm copper coloured metal 'fish hook' hangers.
Rrp £16 postage £2.95 large letter.
I set up an etsy shop www.etsy.co.uk/shop/AshleybashCrafts during lockdown as I was unable to work fulltime self employed photographer due to covid restrictions. Originally it was just to keep me occupied by selling fabric face masks to raise money for dog rescue groups I support.
I've since expanded my shop and now design and print my own dog breed fabrics for homeware and clothing.
I recently revisited old crafting skills and started making leather jewelry using leather offcuts and semi precious gemstones. Its proven a success and I'm hopeful that 2021 will allow me to continue expanding my shop and mean I'm able to work from home safely.
I'm donating because I feel we should always give back.
I'm so grateful that I've been able to generate enough income thru my crafting skills to support my family this year after not being able to work as a photographer due to covid restrictions.

I work in different mediums (depending on my mood) from sculpting in clay, making sea glass & silver jewellery to painting animals on stones.
NOA has been an amazing outlet for artists and crafters alike and I believe everyone should give a little back to society when they can. The Community Care Package is a very worthy cause.
My sea glass and silver earrings would sell for around £12.50. I will include the postage with this item.

I started making these for myself as a little project and expanded into selling them due to losing my job this year in the hospitality industry.
I would like to make a donation as a way to help the charity you chose. I was moved to campaign quite a lot over the last few months following the government's decision to discontinue the free school meals program.
I believe no one should go without a meal and especially not children. I have myself been in the position where I did not know where the next meal was coming from, sometimes going hungry myself to feed my children. That was the worst time of my life and if I can help others to not have to suffer then I will.
Please find two pictures below of the sort of thing I will donate. I am able to do commissions if the bidder would like something special.
Postage will be just £2 and my products retail for £15.

Anyway, it is important for me to donate a piece because the proceeds are going to people who really need help during this difficult time. I don't have much money but I can help raise funds by donating a piece of jewellery in the hope that it helps raise money that will bring some relief to those in need. I have donated other pieces to raffle for other charities. Whatever little I can do to help, I will.
The piece I'm offering is a fine silver bee priced at £33 on my site.
I hope the auction goes well and raises a lot of money.

We are Phillipa and Lucy, sisters and we set up Talolo Boots in response to a need for a smart welly that could take us outside to inside. We had an events business for many years and were often out in a field and then a meeting after and we never had the right footwear. Talolo Boots were our solution.
They are stylish cowboy welly boots. Perfect for looking chic in the rain, for festivals, dog walking , outdoor events and anywhere you want to go and not ruin a decent pair of boots . They are fully waterproof, made from biodegradable rubber and cotton lined.
We are putting up for auction a pair of boots in sizes 36-40 - design of the winner’s choice.
The sell for £59
Postage is £4.10 Royal Mail Tracked
NB - they come up snug so you have to go up a size. So the largest size (40) will suit size 6.

This is an image of the globe, from a eurocentric perspective, carved into an original silver sixpence. The apparent fragility is deliberate, and part of the message, but it is stronger than it looks. Mounted on a 45cm sterling silver chain, this is priced at £45 in my ETSY shop.
Originally from Scunthorpe, I am now living in exile in southern France. I will cover postage to the successful bidder.

I've chosen this piece as without the support from the members on this fabulous page by ordering my pieces I would have seriously struggled financially over the Christmas period
160 orders were placed after 1 little post 4 weeks ago today...the support has been overwhelming and truly truly thankful
My name is Perdi and I'm based in a little village called Painswick on the outskirts of Gloucestershire and I'm a resin artist! The donated piece is worth £20 and I am more than happy to cover the cost of postage and post to the winning bidder!

I'd be really happy to donate a choice of one of my large life drawings to the auction. I've been gobsmacked at the numbers of people reported using foodbanks this year and Community Care sounds a brilliant and essential set up right now.
The life drawings are a mixture of charcoal and ink on paper (sizes can be seen on my website homepage artlal.com).
Retail price £60. They are unframed and postage and packing would cost £4.

Time for Cake was inspired by my love of tea and cake and afternoon tea. It depicts a beautiful cup cake presented on a pretty china plate.
It is a homage to the subject matter. But also follows my desire to create mixed media pieces using merino wool, silk, organza, chiffon as well as other materials, cotton thread and embroidery thread. My Fine Art, final degree work, was all based on a trip to India. My tea and cake pieces are influenced by this trip with the use of pattern making and gold thread to bring a richness to the tea cups and plates.
Drawing on my degree in Fine Art, I create a charcoal drawing first, then a colourful oil pastel painting of the scene. I then use both of these to create the fibre art from. All three pieces differ due to the art material used to create them.
I use merino wool in lots of different colours (as you would tubes of paint) and lay out the loose fibres of different coloured wool onto my base (as you would paint on canvas).
Once finished the next stage is to make these loose fibres of wool stick together and create the wool painting. You do this by adding hot soapy water and friction. The hot water opens up the wools scales and the friction (rubbing/rolling) binds them together. During this process the wool shrinks by about 15/20% and you end up with one piece of felt material.
Once the felted picture is dry I needle felt into the piece to sharpen some of the details. I then decide if the piece needs extra details by sewing into it.
The final felt art is attached to a piece of mount board and posted out ready for you to take to a framer to choose the frame.

Working from home in the Black Mountains, I spend hours watching the wealth of life outside my window.
For 10 years, I've focused my camera lens on resident and visiting wildlife to my garden...the more I look, the more I see.
My photography is probably equal parts passion and obsession, expressing the joy and peace I feel to be so lucky. I use my raw footage to make my range of tableware, cards and gifts - sharing my obsession with fellow enthusiasts. :) I love making practical and attractive objects, to bring British nature into our everyday spaces.
Photos from my garden and tableware from my spare room; cottage industry at its best!
My purpose is to promote better awareness of the life on our doorsteps; seeking to inspire others to think what they could see in their own gardens & spaces.
Since April 2020, I have also been sharing video recordings from my garden – for those unable to access green spaces in this unprecedented year..
Connecting with the natural world has major benefits boost our mood and aiding recovery from stress.

I'd like to support this charity auction for Community Care Package, organised by Not On Amazon, by donating a handmade mug. This is such a worthy cause in a year like this and it's an honour to be able to contribute to it.
The mug is made by me in my home studio using a smooth white stoneware clay. It is finished with an off-white satin glaze with pink tinges on the outside and a glossy lilac glaze inside. My maker's mark was stamped on the bottom of the mug before it was fired. It is approximately 9cm tall and 7cm wide at the rim, holding roughly 290ml of liquid. The mug is dishwasher safe, though hand washing will prolong it's life.
These mugs normally cost £25. I will cover the cost of shipping inside UK. Happy bidding!

A lot of people have been staggered by the growth of this group from one person's innocent lunch break idea.
Exactly what has happened over the last 8 weeks is not even really clear to me but what I have seen in 2020 is that people are ready to be the ones who make the necessary changes in the world when we can't rely on those who we are supposed to help us.
If any of you have any kind of group that would like to hear the story of how this all happened and maybe ask a few questions to a person who's suddenly found themselves in a unique situation and had to find ways to make everything work, then I would love to give you 45 minutes of my time however that can be arranged.
The Not On Amazon group has changed the lives of a lot of people...
My life is going in directions I could never have imagined 2 months ago.
None of us could have done any of it without each other and it's still really early days for our little movement, I can't thank everyone who has played any kind of part in this enough.
NOT ON AMAZON
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
