Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation Ball 2018Read more ...
We’re a registered charity, set up by Teessiders for Teessiders.
We help businesses and individuals join together to make Middlesbrough and Teesside better places in which to live, work and do business.
Tonight we are aiming to raise a staggering amount in the raffle, live auction and this, the silent auction. This event has grown year on year and the funds raised keep increasing, so when you have finished reading this, place your bid next to that impressive wine case, treat yourself to a break in the Cotswolds or simply relax on a super yacht watching the Monaco GP.
Take a few minutes to scroll through the incredible lots in this silent auction and view the big screen activity. We will have a 5 minute countdown appear on the big screens later tonight, so make sure you have your bids registered and on the screen.
Whatever it is that takes your fancy, placing that bid means that you are making a real difference to those in need on Teesside.
This auction is open for you to bid online until 12 noon on 11th October when online bidding will close. Bidding will re-open at the Ball on 12th October, and will only be available at the venue.
If you are unable to attend the Ball, but wish to bid on an item, you can still give yourself the best chance of winning by placing a proxy (maximum) bid on this page. We then will carry your bid over to the main auction on the evening of the Ball and continue bidding up for you up to your maximum. You will be contacted after the Ball if your bid has been successful.Close.
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
