Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Annual Ball 2019Read more ...
We’re a registered charity, set up by Teessiders for Teessiders.
We help businesses and individuals join together to make Middlesbrough and Teesside better places in which to live, work and do business.
Last year’s 570 record attendance saw dozens of generous local businesses and Teesside people help the region’s biggest annual charity dinner raise a record-breaking £78,000 for some of Teesside’s most disadvantaged families.
Held in the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall on Friday October 11, Teesside Philanthropic Foundation’s Charity Ball features a dinner, live band, dancing, auction and raffle.
Andy Preston, the charity’s founder, says: “The Foundation’s Charity Ball is Teesside’s social event of the year.
“But, much more importantly, it’s raises life-changing amounts of money – every penny of which stays right here on Teesside.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the way the companies and people of Teesside pull together to give such generous support to help their fellow Teessiders.”
The silent auction is a superb way to get involved in the fundraising element and there is something for everyone. The auction process could not be simpler, using your iPad. If you click ‘get pin’ and follow the instructions.
You are then let loose and free to bid on some truly amazing auction lots. Why not treat yourself to a luxury hotel stay, fashion and make up experiences, dinner at bespoke restaurants or at home with a case of luxury wine for that forthcoming party or a beautiful piece of art.
You also have the option of pledging this evening, simply click on the pledge button.
The silent auction team will be coming around the room, so please feel free to ask them any questions or call at the display. To make it easier for you, all payment methods are accepted.
Huge thanks to all supporters and sponsors.
Note: This auction is open for you to bid online until 10pm on Thursday 10 October when online bidding will close. Bidding will re-open at the Ball on Friday evening, and will only be available at the venue.
If you are unable to attend the Ball, but wish to bid on an item, you can still give yourself the best chance of winning by placing a proxy (maximum) bid on this page. We then will carry your bid over to the main auction on the evening of the event and continue bidding up for you up to your maximum. You will be contacted after the event only if your bid has been successful.
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
