Moving through the glorious Salon and Music Room this concert tells the story of Heaton’s musical past inspired by the inaugural concert in 1790 and Seymour Egerton's famous Wandering Minstrel Orchestra.
The Vine String Quartet and international singers perform Handel and Corelli, Gounod and Verdi, Mendelssohn and Puccini, sprinkled with a little Lehar, Gilbert and Sullivan and a maid called Sarah!

First seen at the Cheltenham Music Festival in 2016 this is a story of a greedy inventor and Beethoven the famous composer. It is also the story of magical musical inventions and a beautiful clockwork Ballerina….
A world of wonder and curiosity through storytelling, pictures in a theatre box, a toy piano and charming vintage marionettes. The children become involved through singing as ‘the voice of the people’ as they experience works by monumental composers played by the Vine Quartet and performed by puppeteer and artist Kate Romano.

NB: To allow children to be at the front please bring a cushion for them to sit on. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
