Kennet Opera — 2026-2027 Programme
Kennet Opera is pleased to announced its summer concert series over one glorious weekend in June 2026. Our goal is to delight our audiences with a range of opera choruses, ensembles and solos, and to raise much-needed funds to support our next production.
In February 2027 we'll perform Benjamin Britten's wonderful comedic take on life in an English small town: 'Albert Herring'. Our Music Director will again be David Wordsworth and our Stage Director, Lisa Harrington.
Kennet Opera is an amateur company formed in 1993 by a group of friends who wanted to perform the music they loved in their home town. Over 30 years, this ever-widening group has remained dedicated to bringing opera and concert song to Newbury, West Berkshire and places nearby.
