With all proceeds raised going to the 'crisis appeal' from Save Chandos House Addiction Treatment Centre, this is a very special opportunity to own a truly unique and powerful piece of art and music.

'Brutalism', the 2017 debut album from Bristol's IDLES, is a stunning record that encapsulates life in modern Britain in a way rarely seen or heard before. In a manner befitting the raw power and emotion behind the music, frontman and lyricist Joe Talbot's had his mother's ashes pressed into 100 copies of 'Brutalism', announcing it by saying...

"Our music has saved us in many ways.

My old dear didn't have the luxury of finding something that could save her; I've had her ashes pressed into 100 vinyl to symbolise just how important she was to this album, to this band and of course to me and my drive to exist in the most loving and honest me.

We strive to make music that invigorates people to express themselves freely without prejudice or mockery. Now you can see that we've put everything into our art so that maybe you can too. Don't go gentle.

All is love."

As you would expect, all available copies sold out instantly. However, the band have very kindly donated a copy in order to raise funds for Bristol's last residential rehab centre which sadly risks imminent closure due to funding being slashed by Government and local authorities.

Former residents include IDLES guitarist Lee Kiernan, who described the centre as "a homely place that myself and other residents spent three months talking to each other openly about our feelings, to be vulnerable, to accept help from one another and to re-evaluate what is meant of being a ‘man’. I learned how to love myself again, and to accept love from others. I learned I could be creative without substances and most importantly I learned how to accept and live with my demons."

As simply put by former resident Mark Taffs, "I would be dead without them. They taught me to love myself again."

The vinyl is currently unsigned, though the band have stated that they are more than happy to sign should the successful bidder wish.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
