Welcome to Friends of Calvert Trust online auction!
The Lake District Calvert Trust (LDCT) has been delivering specialist, outdoor activity breaks for children and adults with disabilities for over 40 years, pioneering the provision and promotion of outdoor activities to people with disabilities. LDCT can cater for the majority of disabilities – from those with mild learning difficulties but who are fully ambulant, to those with profound and complex conditions.
Our mission is to enable people with disabilities to achieve their potential through the challenge of adventurous activities in the countryside in order for them to develop, change perceptions and make positive and lasting changes to their lives
Our provision is all-inclusive; we offer residential stays for individuals, family groups, specialist schools, accessible sports clubs, charity groups, supported living and care homes from throughout the UK.
The Friends of Calvert Trust (Lake District) was established over 35 years’ ago as a separate charity (No. 1067899) in order to promote and support all aspects of the work by the Lake District Calvert Trust’s Centre. Through fund raising events and auctions we support the Calvert Trust on various projects such as replacement adapted mini-buses which now cost over £50,000.
The Auction; there is an exciting mix of family and group items and some can’t be bought! This includes the visit to the Ford World Rally Team’s factory near Cockermouth and VX-1 Speed Sailing on Ullswater. The Auction will run through to 10pm on the night of our annual outdoor play. This is Wind in the Willows by Illyria at Lowther Castle & Gardens (CA10 2HH) on Friday, 21 August at 5pm and 7pm and if you want to come along tickets are from Illyria.co.uk.
Please bid generously to enable more people with disabilities to enjoy a life-changing, Calvert experience.
