Art Auction Fundraiser for Dr Feras, from Gaza to Galway!
This art auction fundraiser was started to support Dr. Feras Hassan Rusrus, to help him get from Gaza to Galway to continue his studies.
We are happy to report that Feras was evacuated through Jordan last week, and arrived in Ireland on August 28 ♥️♥️♥️
He has been given a temporary stateless person passport by the Irish authorities.
When he left, he was not allowed to bring anything with him but the clothes on his back. All of the funds raised will go directly to him, to help with living expenses, tuition, and to continue to support his family in Gaza, for whom he was the sole breadwinner.
We hope you will consider bidding on a piece of art, created in love and hope and solidarity, to help this brave young doctor and the family he had to leave behind in Gaza.

The Wild Sea Hags are a series of paintings inspired by the dream-swirled tangled noisey language of Finnegans Wake, this series conjures the chaotic experimental spirit of Joyce’s "bold and bad and bleary" sea hags—mythic figures of turmoil, power, and feminine defiance. Through tangled currents and wild color, the viewer is invited to swim into the maelstrom and see themselves "among them"—a tribute to all who dance in the din.

Artist: Corrina Mori 3" x 3" porcelain ceramic sculpture Delivery: Will ship anywhere in the world.
This sculpture is a continuation of the series “Loss, despair, devastation, sadness”
From the artist: "Loss, despair, devastation, sadness" is a body of work born out of necessity—a departure from my usual exploration of functional, creative, and elegantly simple forms. These ceramic pieces are echoes of a world torn apart, each piece resembling a destroyed home in Gaza.
Through this art, I aim to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in Gaza, to bring a sense of the overwhelming loss and devastation into the viewer’s consciousness. Each fractured piece speaks to the fragility of life, the permanence of destruction, and the desperate need for empathy and action.
My attempt to address this tragedy through art feels woefully inadequate. I hope this installation moves the viewer to reflect on the human cost of conflict and the responsibility we all share to acknowledge and address such suffering."
Corinna Mori is a Palo Alto, California based ceramic artist. Her work featured in exhibits around San Francisco and the Bay Area, including two installations at Filoli Gardens.

“For all the bold and bad and bleary they are blamed, the seahags. No! Nor for all our wild dances in all their wild din. I can seen meself among them,”
-James Joyce, Finnegans Wake

Clouds 3/5 Connie Nakamura, USA Acrylic painting on paper Size: W 7 x H 5 inches
Delivery: Will ship anywhere in the world.
These cloud paintings were done specifically for Feras’s auction.
I wanted to paint the same sky that we all see from anywhere in the world. The feeling I wanted to express was of expansion but paintings change as you go. I hope someday soon everyone will be happy, abundant, and free.

Artist: Corrina Mori Size: 3” x 3” individual porcelain ceramics mounted on 24” x 24” plywood painted black with visible nails Weight: 8.5 lbs Delivery: Local pickup in Palo Alto, California
Corinna Mori is a Palo Alto, California based ceramic artist. Her work featured in exhibits around San Francisco and the Bay Area, including two installations at Filoli Gardens.
From the artist: "Loss, despair, devastation, sadness" is a body of work born out of necessity—a departure from my usual exploration of functional, creative, and elegantly simple forms. These 16 ceramic pieces are echoes of a world torn apart, each piece resembling a destroyed home in Gaza.
I hope this installation moves the viewer to reflect on the human cost of conflict and the responsibility we all share to acknowledge and address such suffering.

“For all the bold and bad and bleary they are blamed, the seahags. No! Nor for all our wild dances in all their wild din. I can seen meself among them,”
-James Joyce, Finnegans Wake

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another
member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new
maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
