Art Auction Fundraiser for Dr. Feras, from Gaza to Galway!
This art auction is a fundraiser for Dr. Feras Hassan Rusrus to be able to evacuate from Gaza and continue his studies in Ireland, where he has been accepted into
the MSc Diabetes program at the University of Galway.
We are a group of artists who have come together to offer our work in support of Dr. Feras, to achieve his education, his dream, his life.
His path to Galway is strewn with unthinkable obstacles and difficulties. And as you can imagine, the difficulties increase daily. All of the funds raised will go directly to Feras: to help him survive now, and to cover travel, his visa, tuition, and living expenses in Galway.

Corinna Mori is a Palo Alto, California based ceramic artist. Her work featured in exhibits around San Francisco and the Bay Area, including two installations at Filoli Gardens.
From the artist: "Loss, despair, devastation, sadness" is a body of work born out of necessity—a departure from my usual exploration of functional, creative, and elegantly simple forms. These 16 ceramic pieces are echoes of a world torn apart, each piece resembling a destroyed home in Gaza.
Through this art, I aim to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in Gaza, to bring a sense of the overwhelming loss and devastation into the viewer’s consciousness. Each fractured piece speaks to the fragility of life, the permanence of destruction, and the desperate need for empathy and action.
My attempt to address this tragedy through art feels woefully inadequate. I hope this installation moves the viewer to reflect on the human cost of conflict and the responsibility we all share to acknowledge and address such suffering.

After participating in an art show done on Post-its, I decided to do larger versions. I wanted to make “portraits” of the ice cream truck heroes from fourth grade.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another

For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
