Cordoba is considered the dove shooting capital of the world. Over 50 million doves annually inhabit the 50-mile radius (95 km) of the lodge. The lodge features 40 shooting fields, which are within a 30 or 55-minute drive through rolling hills.
Like doves worldwide, they offer fast and challenging shooting - the difference here is their monumental number. On a typical day, guns shoot from 1000 to 2500 shells or even more.
We meet in the morning for a delicious breakfast at 7:30 am.
After a short drive of 30 or 40 minutes, you arrive in the wood where you are assigned a bird-boy. He will serve you shells and drinks and anything you may need and one of our professional guides will be around ready to help you too.
We take a break at midday to enjoy a wonderful lunch in the field: an incredible barbecue with the famous Argentine beef.
Afternoon shooting begins after a short rest and continues until almost dark. We are flexible according to guests' preference.
When the shooting day is over, you continue with cocktails and an early dinner at the lodge.
The shooting fields are carefully rotated and tested to assure maximum bird number. This is part of our Game Management Program, which allows for a successful big-bag shooting season all year round.

Built into the flanks of Uley Bury on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment lies Uley Brewery, a traditional tower brewery. It was originally built by Samuel Price in 1833 on the site of the lower village spring outlet. This was during William IV’s reign, when Uley was filled with woollen mills, a dusty, thirsty trade with a huge appetite for beer. An 1840’s map shows the thirteen beer houses in the village. Learn about the history, the brewing process and sample Uley Bitter and Ales and not forgetting the famous Old Spot!

A morning on the Lambourn gallops with Cheltenham Festival & Grade 1 winning racehorse trainer, Jamie Snowden.

Jamie is delighted to offer you the chance to visit Folly House in Lambourn, where four of you will get the chance to have a fun and entertaining morning which will include breakfast in the kitchen and then a trip up onto the gallops where you will get to watch Jamie’s National Hunt horses being put through their paces on the gallops. On return to Folly House, you will have an informative stable tour of the yard where Jamie has over 60 horses in training.

The 2010 Ch. Talbot is a favourite with many, and with good reason.
