CHELWOOD BRIDGE ROTARY ON LINE AUCTIONRead more ...
Welcome to Chelwood Bridge Rotary on-line silent auction which will run from noon on Monday 1st March 2021 to noon on Saturday 22nd March 2021.
Over the past 12 months as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic charities have suffered. Many depend on donations and fundraising to undertake the important work that they do in our communities. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can through this auction for the benefit of local charities. Please share details of this website with your friends, family and other contacts.
The money raised will be split equally between Children's Hospice Southwest, St Peter's Hospice, Designability (Wizzybugs} and other charitable work that our Rotary Club supports
To get started, simply click on the red ‘sign in’ button and register your contact details. You will then be able to place bids. By doing so you are committing to pay the current price plus the set increment for that lot. If successful, you will see a ‘highest bidder’ message on-screen and receive confirmation by email. Should you be outbid, you’ll receive a message inviting you to bid again.
As with other online auctions, you can set up ‘proxy bids’ whereby the Jumblebee website will automatically re-bid for you in response to other higher bids. For a full explanation, click on ‘proxy bidding’ when viewing the individual lots.
Please note, we are asking for payment via BACS to keep costs down and ensure the charities receive as much as possible. Should you win any of the lots, you will receive an email containing the Club's bank details together with all other relevant information. Lot winners will be contacted with collection/delivery details for their winning Lots.

1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
