Anjan has been freelancing since 2004 doing various jobs for various people but in 2012 he realised that his preferred style was 'wonky and slightly misshapen'. This realisation occurred around the time that he started drawing with his children (who are masters of the wonky line) and it was a natural step for him to take his style into children's illustration.
His work is influenced by illustrators like David McKee (Mr Benn), Jill McDonald (Counting On An Elephant) and Maurice Sendak, whose books he read as a child.
Since becoming a full-time illustrator He has created illustrations for children’s books, animation and advertising. Previous clients include: F.S.G/Macmillan, Little Bee Books, Stripes Publishing, Capstone Publishing, Holiday House, Oxford University Press and Scholastic.

I am a freelance illustrator and children’s book author living, working and doodling in a village near Cambridge. My debut picture book “My Rhino is Better Than Yours!” a funny, rhyming story about two competitive children, was published last year (by David Fickling Books). I’ve always loved drawing so having my own book out in the world for children to (hopefully) enjoy is a dream come true!

Gareth P Jones is an award winning author, performer & musician, but he is not an artist. Not by any stretch of the imagination. In order to produce his bookmark he did his best to emulate the impressive skills of illustrator Scott Brown who illustrated Gareth's Dragon Detective series.
He has worked with lots of illustrators on various books and never ceases to be amazed by their talent. The series was originally published by Bloomsbury but has recently been given a new lease of life by Little Tiger. It features a dragon called Dirk Dilly who runs a detective agency in London.

Gareth P Jones is an award winning author, performer & musician, but he is not an artist. Not by any stretch of the imagination. In order to produce his bookmark he did his best to emulate the impressive skills of illustrator Scott Brown who illustrated Gareth's Dragon Detective series.

The magnificent Jennie Maizels was born to be an artist – and an extraordinarily enterprising one. Her artist parents met at Chelsea School of Art and now run the art magazine, Raw Vision.
After graduation from Central St Martins School of Art, Jennie's first commission was to design and make window displays at Harvey Nichols' Knightsbridge store for London Fashion Week. As a result, she was asked to create window displays for The Body Shop and Dillons Bookstores nationwide.
Even when studying illustration, Jennie enjoyed working in 3-D, so making pop-up books was a natural progression. Her 16-year collaboration with renowned children's author Kate Perry, which sadly ended with Kate's death in 2007, was impressively fruitful. The eight books they produced together have sold over two million copies worldwide. The Great Grammar Book was nominated for Children's Book of the Year 1999 and The Global Garden won the Royal Society's Junior Science Book Prize in 2006. Jennie wrote, designed and illustrated the best-selling and award-winning Pop-Up London and Pop-Up New York as well as collaborating with The Reduced Shakespeare Company on Pop-Up Shakespeare.
In 2015, Jennie came up with a revolutionary way for people to learn how to draw and paint (in Jennie's words "Literally like following a recipe") and launched Sketchbook Club online. Its success has been featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Simple Things magazine, to which Jennie will soon contribute regularly.
On top of all this, Jennie is helping to develop the next generation of creatives, lecturing part-time in Illustration and Graphic Arts at Southampton University.

Matt Robertson grew up in Suffolk and attended Art College in Ipswich, but it wasn't until he started his degree at Cambridge School of Art (CSA) that his love of picture books and story telling really began.

Over the last few years he has been fortunate enough to have worked with a number of different publishers over a range of different projects.

I am a children’s author and former primary school teacher and my trilogy of books feature a gang of kids who become superheroes. The Fabulous Four Fish Fingers was published in 2013 (to acclaim from critics, praise from educators and silly giggles from 8 year olds who love jokes about pants). The follow up, Frozen Fish Fingers is set in the Transyldovian mountains and the third book Fish Fingers vs Nuggets features supervillain aliens who are the same size and shape as chicken McNuggets but they wear very tight trousers. Before I became a writer and teacher, I worked in TV for over 20 years. I started as a news reporter for the BBC, Tyne Tees TV and for a Japanese broadcaster.

My name is Anne and I'm a serial doodler. I usually draw for kids or adults who didn't grow up. I especially love to express things thru a drawing what words sometimes can't do. I like to zig when others zag, to color outside the lines, to think outside the box, to not fit the mold, to surprise people by being where I'm not expected, to try making uptight snooty people a little more cool but above all what I love the most is to break down stereotypes. I'm truly fascinated by the creative universes of JRR Tolkein, Stephen King, Jordan Peele, M.Night Shyamalan, Craig Mazin, Mike Flanagan, but also Pixar, Disney, Stan Lee, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and obviously Georges Melies. My artwork is often about childhood, an endless wonderful source of inspiration for me , full of secret messages for me to decode.

Rob Starling began doodling creatures and characters at school and hasn't stopped since. He lives and works in Norwich, and when he's not sketching up new characters or writing down stories he can be found sculpting, brewing coffee, adjusting his headphones or foraging in the kitchen for cake. And, of course, teaching kids. Fergal is Fuming, which was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Award, was his first book.
