Over 50 wonderful items have been kindly donated to raise funds - and every penny collected will be divided between The Gurkha Welfare Trust and The Britain-Nepal Medical Trust.

The on-line auction will be open from midday on Friday 19th June and will close at 8.00 p.m. on Thursday 2nd July.
Successful bidders will be notified by email immediately after the auction closes with details on how to pay for their prize and who to contact.

HOW TO VIEW A LOT

HOW TO BID
To place a bid click on the item, enter your bid and click on "Bid Now". A flight along the Dorset Coastline in a 1939 Tiger Moth Biplane, one that was used to train many a wartime Spitfire or Hurricane pilot. The present and only the second civilian owner since the war, acquired the aircraft in 1978 and since then has flown her extensively to the four corners of Europe, including four flights around the former Soviet Union. The first of these was when he led a celebrated flight of three Tiger Moths to Moscow in 1989 shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, facilitated communications with the Soviet government which not only permitted this, the first foreign touring flight of the USSR for 57 years, but also allowed the Tigers to land at Scheremetevo Airport (Moscow's equivalent to Heathrow), closing the airport to all other traffic during their arrival. This successful political and sporting initiative acquired the name 'Glasmoth'! '. The most recent flight was to Ukraine in July 2013 when this Tiger led a formation of Tiger Moths representing British regiments in the aerial re-enactment of ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’ at Balaclava with WW2 Mustang fighters simulating the Russian guns. The display fleet was based at the now infamous Belbek Air Base in Crimea which featured in the recent invasion by Russia.
The flight will take place at a private airstrip near Shaftesbury in Dorset, along the stunning Dorset coastline to the west of Poole, subject to weather. Date to be arranged.

The Florence Academy at Stowe, Buckinghamshire, offers a 5 day landscape painting course designed for those who have some experience and are seeking to develop a traditional classical approach to drawing and painting, and working from nature. These principles are at the core of both the work and the instruction of master tutor Toby Wright. Having studied at the Florence Academy, Toby was a principle instructor in the Advanced Painting programme until 2010. His paintings can be found in galleries and private collections across Europe and America.
Students spend morning and afternoon sessions studying the art of landscape painting, as well as how to include architectural elements in their compositions. Demonstrations will help students learn how to start using the concepts of perspective, to help convey the structure of buildings. Students can choose between the exploration of landscape painting and the play of light on architecture, or fusing the two.
