The winner will be offered a two hour friendly tutorial on easy photography tips. The winner can be joined by up to other two friends or relatives to enjoy an informal and casual session with local (amateur) photographer Bogdan Schiteanu. He will be offering:
* tips and advise on how to find the best spot and angles when taking a photo,
*how to use your camera - or phone - settings and capabilities
*how to frame and light your subject,
*choosing the right distance to a subject
*how to make your photos more interesting and artsy.
The tutorial would take place at one or two sites in Surrey Hills and around Dorking. Bogdan can pick the group up if needed.
Ideally the session can be on Saturdays. However, with the longer daylight, it could be arranged for an afternoon/evening during the week.

One week's accommodation in a fully-equipped modern house in the medieval village of Trequanda in south east Tuscany, with wonderful views of the Crete Sienese. It sleeps 6 (two doubles, one twin and three bathrooms). Your own transport is essential but this location is convenient for Siena, Pienza, Montepuliciano, Cortona, Sinalunga and a wealth of lesser known but beautiful towns and villages. Florence is approx 75 minutes drive. Sorry no smokers or pets.

The winner will be entitled to 4 x 40 minute lessons can be in your own home or in Robin Moore's studio in Dorking. He prefers to teach classical repertoire etc but will also help people with performance and technique for popular music.

Robin has had a wealth of experience as a semi-professional singer. Described by Eric Shilling of English National Opera as “the best baritone he had heard outside the profession” he has played a significant part in music making in and around the Cambridge area for over 30 years before moving to France in 2010. In 2021 he returned to the UK and now lives in Dorking

He has taken part in master classes with the late Philip Langridge, Ian Bostridge, Ben Luxon and Robin Bowman and also won first prize two years running in the Cambridge Music Festival Voice competition.

Song repertoire includes French Chanson, German Lieder and English Song and Operatic Roles have included: Michele in Puccini’s Il Tabarro, Giove in Monteverdi’s Return of Ulysses, Jupiter in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and Balstrode in Britten’s Peter Grimes amongst others.

His main love has been Oratorio and he has been a principal soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, Brahms’ Requiem, Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater, Bach’s Magnificat & Masses by Mozart & Haydn and many more.

He studied singing with Mark Wildman of the Royal Academy & Gordon Sandison of Glyndebourne and started his own teaching practice in 2007 in his home-town, the Cathedral City of Ely in the UK. He also completed the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music “Teaching Music Successfully” course. He taught singing during his ten years in France and is now hoping to do the same in the Dorking area.
