Poplar Hawk-moth (c) Iain H Leach

Butterfly Conservation is the UK charity dedicated to saving native butterflies, moths and our environment. Formed in 1968, Butterfly Conservation will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018. To mark this occasion, an Atlas of Britain and Ireland’s Larger Moths is being produced and published. This is the first document of its kind and will provide an up-to-date distribution map and species account of almost 900 of Britain and Ireland’s larger moths.

To help raise funds for the production and publication of the Atlas, moth species are available for sponsorship. In order to make all of the moths that will feature in the Atlas available, the auction will run in six batches between May and October 2017.

To view the auction, please click on the Butterfly Conservation logo to the right of this text.

Please visit www.butterfly-conservation.org/mothatlas2018 to view or download a pdf of the auction catalogue.

If you would like to sponsor a species and have your name or dedication printed in the Atlas within the species account, please view the current auction and bid on the moth you would like.

Auctions will run from 8am on the first day of the month, until 8pm on the last day of the month. Any un-sponsored moths will be re-listed in November and December 2017.
