When David Bowie died on 10 January 2016, aged 69, his death was greeted with the greatest display of public mourning since Princess Diana three decades before.
Twenty-five years before, Bowie appeared to be washed up. His Eighties career had been a slow descent into self-parody, his attempts to diversify into hard rock with the had been disastrous, and the art-rock music with which he had made his name was badly out of fashion. The Thin White Duke needed a miracle if he was not only going to be able to assume his rightful place at the top of the rock music firmament, but even to continue his career. And a miracle – a resurrection from the dead – is precisely what happened.
Lazarus: The Second Coming of David Bowie is the first biography of Bowie that tells the full and candid story of what happened in between those two apparently unbridgeable points. With new and exclusive interviews with the musicians, filmmakers and cultural figures who worked with and befriended Bowie throughout this period, Lazarus is the definitive account of the previously overlooked and fascinating latter half of a great and distinguished career. A career that climaxed with his final masterpiece, Blackstar, and the unprecedented theatrical flourish of his departure from the stage as he passed into legend.

DAVID BOWIE
David Bowie seems to be the most popular man in the world of adult colouring books, so I apologise if I’m adding to an already saturated market with this book of brand-new images, all specially drawn by me. Here you’ll find my selection of the Top 20 Bowie songs, with an image for each.
Obviously there’s been some whittling down, sometimes because there was no really good image to go with the song – so no Laughing Gnome or Fame I’m afraid – or because I didn’t want too many from the same time period. And there was no room for any Tin Machine, which I’m sure has disappointed millions. I’ve tried to make original image choices where I could, cos let’s be honest you’ve seen enough colouring book versions of the Aladdin Sane cover. So, what have we got?
Love You Til Tuesday and Space Oddity, from his debut album;
Life On Mars, from Hunky Dory;
Starman and Ziggy, as seen on Top Of The Pops and the Ziggy movie;
Rebel Rebel, as seen on Dutch TV show Top Pop;
Golden Years, as performed on Soul Train;
Young Americans, as performed on the Dick Cavett show;
Heroes and Peace On Earth, both as shown on Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas, filmed in September 1977 just before Bing died;
Boys Keep Swinging, from Lodger;
Ashes To Ashes and Fashion, from Scary Monsters;
Modern Love, from Lets Dance;
David as The Goblin King from Labyrinth;
Time Will Crawl, as seen in the unbroadcast Top Of The Pops episode he recorded which didn’t get shown because the single dropped down the chart that week;
Little Wonder, from Earthling; Under Pressure, as performed at Glastonbury (with Gail Anne Dorsey doing the Freddie Mercury parts, just out of shot);
and Little Fat Man, from David’s last TV appearance on Extras.
Chain measures approx. 54cm Long:
Charm measures approx. 2.5cm (W) x 3cm (H)

In the ten years since the death of David Bowie in 2016 there has been no loss of interest in and fascination with his life, music and driven, complex personality. He is definitely one musician, one performer, destined not to be forgotten. The significant grief and sadness that greeted Bowie's death has evolved into a deeper, enduring love for his music, style, wit, artistic curiosity, sexual energy, flamboyant outsider spirit and insatiable, provocative appetite for life.
Far Above the World will document one of the UK's greatest creative artists, through the spectacularly colourful and vibrant journey of a man who constantly reinvented himself and his music. Bowie lived in the future, using the pop song to chronicle overwhelming and dangerous times, searching for the light, and creating a communication channel between post-war 20th century times and where(ever) we are now. This anniversary book will place him in the now and next, as much as is past, and argue that his songs, and his messages, reflections and warnings become ever more relevant and compelling as time passes.

Denis O'Regan has photographed Bowie more than any other photographer
Stunning photographs taken across two decades at over 200 concerts worldwide
O'Regan captures David behind-the-scenes as well as David Bowie the showman
O'Regan provides a first-person account to accompany each chapter of his photographic journey
Official photographer to music legend David Bowie, Denis O'Regan presents a personal edit from his unrivalled collection of photographs. Accompanying Bowie on two world tours and enjoying a decades-long relationship with the star, no one photographed Bowie more than Denis O'Regan. As Bowie himself once remarked, 'Denis, Rock 'n' Roll is in your blood'.
From the door of Olympic Studios, where Bowie recorded Diamond Dogs in 1974, to live stadium shows in the 1990s, Denis's full archive is at last opened and many unseen images revealed for the first time. David Bowie by Denis O’Regan tells Bowie's musical story in pictures, with O'Regan's own words relaying his experience of documenting that incredible journey.
Author of the hugely successful Ricochet: David Bowie 1983 (Particular Books, 2018), O'Regan has toured with the biggest stars from The Rolling Stones and Queen to Pink Floyd and Duran Duran, to name a few. But it is his photographs of David Bowie, taken over two decades at over 200 concerts worldwide, that he is best known for. David Bowie the showman and David behind-the scenes, O'Regan has captured it all in this showcase of one of the world's most talented performers.

Walking to recover, to stay alive, Peter realised he was also recovering his lost hero. Leaving behind Heddon Street and Brixton, well-known Bowie shrines, he moved out through South London edgelands and suburbia to remoter Bowie haunts: Croydon, Aylesbury, Pett Level, Southend-on-Sea. Finding the windows Bowie had stared out from in Clareville Grove; the streets in Beckenham where he'd scurried by. He sifted through debris on a patch of waste ground in Tunbridge Wells where Bowie's parents first met. He turned the handle and entered Shirley Parish Hall to find the same stage where a young Davy Jones and the Kon-Rads set up to play back in 1962; and travelled to Berlin, to emerge from the S-Bahn to gape at the ruined portico of the Anhalter Bahnhof and asked 'What is this?'
In Bowieland, Carpenter's peripatetic trampings seem to echo Bowie's own wandering creative spirit, the walks often uncovering hidden layers, and making fresh connections to key Bowie stories, revealing influences conscious and subconscious. Through walking, an understanding is reached of where Bowie sits in the culture, his place among the poets, painters, artists and musicians who came before him, who inhabited the same spaces and in doing so passed on their wisdom to Bowie.
Through Carpenter's travels these suburban lands became a new, very real place, that anyone can visit if they take the time... Welcome to 'Bowieland'
