Welcome to Habitats & Heritage's SECRET ART AUCTION!

A huge thank you to the amazing Royal Academicians, illustrators, cartoonists, photographers and all the brilliant artists - both professional and amateur - who donated their work to support our conservation projects across south and west London.

Their contributions not only showcase incredible artistry but also demonstrate a deep commitment to supporting our cause. We’re grateful beyond words for the community that comes together each year to make this event so special.

Our 10th-anniversary Secret Art Auction features a truly unique collection of 274 original works from 148 artists. For full list of the artists, please visit our biography page.

2025 Secret Art Auction artists include:

Royal Academicians Rana Begum, Sir Richard Long CBE, Alison Wilding OBE, David Nash OBE, Oona Grimes, Peter Randall-Page, Helen Sear, Nigel Coates and Vanessa Jackson; renowned artists Julian Opie, Janette Kerr PPRWA HRSA, Karen Keogh RE, Anne Swankie; an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed illustrator of some of the most well-loved children's books (including The Gruffalo) and Habitats & Heritage patron Axel Scheffler; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025 artists Camilla Clutterbuck, Oliver Gosling and Leigh Clarke; cartoonists Kipper Williams and Nick Bridson Baker; illustrator David Mackintosh; doodle artist Jon Burgerman and many more professional and amateur artists!

About the auction:

• All the artworks are A5 size (unless stated otherwise), unframed and signed on the back
•  Bids start from £35 (+£5 for first class signed delivery for each piece of art).
• Each bid must be at least £1 more than the previous bid.
• The auction runs until 10pm on Saturday 4th October.
• All contribution artists will be revealed against the picture of their art on Habitats & Heritage website after the event.
• Please note, it is UK delivery only.

How to bid?

·       Click on the red Sign In/Register button at the top right hand of the screen. 

·       Scroll through the available auction lots. 

·       Click on an item to view the image and the description. 

·       Enter your bid amount and Bid Now. 

·       You will receive an onscreen message to confirm your bid which will also display on the leaderboard. You will also receive a confirmation email of your bid, and an email notification when you are outbid. 

·       If you are the highest bidder, you will receive an email notification once the auction ends.

·       All bids are final, there are no exchanges, and all items are sold ‘as is’.

·       To check the status of your bids, go to Account Settings, My Bids.

Where do the proceeds go?

Habitats & Heritage is a Twickenham based charity that acts for the natural and historic environment in south and west London. Join our Secret Art Auction, grab yourself a masterpiece and most importantly, help us raise crucial funds that allow us to continue our work. Your purchase might just create new habitats and join up the green corridor to better support our vital biodiversity. Or, give a young person the opportunity to meaningfully interact with nature. Or maybe it will protect your favourite local heritage asset.
