GREEN TREE GALLERY’S LAST EVER EVENT!
Welcome to our final on-line Auction of Artwork in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the Green Tree Gallery’s farewell, after 16 years of glorious local art! We are hugely grateful to the Gallery's talented Artists and Makers for generously donating these beautiful artworks, and to you for visiting this auction site.  We hope you will find something to tempt you and at the same time help us smash through almost £20,000 raised for Macmillan over the years!
As charity fundraising was always an important part of the Gallery’s mission, we hope that this final fundraising event will be a fitting way to say farewell and to celebrate the many happy memories of The Green Tree Gallery!
The Auction runs online until Sunday 23 June at 9 pm but you will have the one-off opportunity to view all the Auction lots at the Gallery’s final Macmillan Coffee ‘Morning’ on Saturday 22 June at The Talbot in Cuckfield between 12-5 pm. You’ll find us upstairs at The Talbot (The Hayloft) where, as well as enjoying coffee/tea and homemade cakes, there will also be a large selection of bric a brac, including items from the Gallery, all to further bump up funds!
Auction Instructions:
Have a good browse of the auction lots (click on each lot image and scroll to see further images).
You'll see that all the starting bids are set very low and there are no reserves. Bidding is straightforward, but if you're stuck, do contact us for help :  info@greentreegallery.co.uk
Once the auction is closed, we will be in touch with the winning bidders regarding payment and collection.
For any winning bidders from further afield, we can cover UK postage and packing but would ask that any overseas winners make their own arrangements for shipping/collection following payment.
Please note all measurements and descriptions are as accurate as possible.
The Green Tree Gallery was a much loved and award-winning contemporary art and crafts gallery founded in 2008 at Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath in Sussex.  It featured a wide range of
affordable arts and crafts, from both local artists and those further afield, and supported and raised valuable funds for multiple local and national charities. The Gallery was sadly forced to close its doors in 2023 when Borde Hill required the return of the building for office space.
Close.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
