CTCRC Online Horse Racing Auction

Cheltenham and Three Counties Race Club (CTCRC) is a small group of National Hunt Racing Enthusiasts who each year give charity donations to some of the following: The Injured Jockeys Fund; The Irish Injured Jockeys Fund; Racing Welfare; Moorcroft Racing Welfare Centre; Greatwood Caring for Retired Racehorses ; Retraining of Racehorses; Riding for the Disabled; The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre; Brooke Hospital for Animals.
Due to the Cheltenham Festival Preview being online and not live in The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse we were unable to do our usual charity auction and raffle so have decided to do an online auction.
The online auction mainly consists of stable visits but does also include a share in a couple of Racing Clubs.
There are stable visits to small yards as well as the big and famous yards.
Horse racing, eventing, pre training, re training yards and a stud.
England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
So there should be something for everyone.
If you could please be as generous as possible it would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Sarah Matthews
CTCRC Chairman

Disclaimer:
All visits are at the winning bidders own risk. These are working yards and as such can be dangerous places.
All travel is at the winning bidders expense.
Please be polite at the visits as you are there at the trainers invitation and if necessary the visit can be terminated or cut short if an emergency arises or the winning bidder is disrespectful.
All visits are at mutually convenient times and when Covid Restrictions allow. Remember different parts of the country have different restrictions.
The winning bidder will be contacted within 2 weeks of the payment being received.
Some visits have specific days or months for the visits to be taken and cannot be changed so please take that into account when bidding.

Racing For A Cause Syndicate
When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
