This is an on-line exhibition and sale of art work contributed by an eclectic colony of artists to support the exhibition and sale of the Mitcham's Models. Full details of the Models can be found by visiting
Some of the artists included here are internationally recognised and their work is held in collections all over the world. Others are just starting their careers and are destined for great heights. All of them have been generous enough to allow us to display and sell their work here to support the children's mental health charity, Blue Smile.

In 2020 the Coronavirus lockdown created the opportunity for Will to paint his favourite flowers as they appeared week by week. This is something he had always wanted to do but never had the time until now. This has been very fulfilling and a silver lining to the Corona cloud. A selection can be viewed on his website as a new edition of signed limited edition prints. https://www.williamgarfit.co.uk

Paddy says "This piece was part of the Mitcham's Models 2015 exhibition. The Mitcham's Models was a community art initiative based on Mitcham’s Corner in Cambridge. Mitcham’s Corner is the northern gateway to historic Cambridge but was blighted by a ring road roundabout installed for traffic management in the 1960’s. We used public art as a way of improving awareness in those who travelled around it that a diverse community lived and thrived here and it was not “just a roundabout”. It was a way of showing that the community deserved some consideration when plans were being made about their home."

Host Swans have settled beneath my scalp. Mornings I feel them running for take-off, neat as tadpoles, webbed feet sticking my cortex. They nibble weeds from the stem. When they love, I wear my hair loose and they lift it from the follicle, pull it in for nests. When they mate, my nape tingles. This summer I walk carefully, my brain full of eggs.

It is inspired from Van Gogh's Starry Night. The movement of the night air and wind is represented by glass.
For the moon, I put gold and silver gild on the glass and used the navy blue used in the Japanese woodcut prints for the first time to add depth.

Paddy says " This piece was part of the Mitcham's Models 2015 exhibition.

Stocking leg with decorative aluminium garter applied. Length 72cms
This piece was part of the Mitcham's Models 2015 exhibition. It was a way of showing that the community deserved some consideration when plans were being made about their home. The garter was made from beer cans as this installation was suspended in the window of Thirsty, a local wine and beer shop.

Six Wounds The pain of longing, desires kept unfulfilled, was too much to bear. So I let my genitals go. The shame of being stuck, never able to advance or withdraw, was too much to bear. So I let my legs go. The grief of separation, wanting to reach out and touch – not quite trusting enough – was too much to bear. So I let my arms go. Still that box of bone rattled on, left against right, an endless hung parliament. I let my head go. This oblong of flesh is simply committed to life. A background noise like coastal weather: churn of my guts rush of my blood rise and fall of my lungs. Above it the beat that marks my span from womb to grave. Cardinal pump, power behind the throne, I hear you now. Let me go. Alan Buckley

Paddy says: "This piece was part of the Mitcham's Models 2015 exhibition. The Mitcham's Models was a community art initiative based on Mitcham’s Corner in Cambridge. Mitcham’s Corner is the northern gateway to historic Cambridge but was blighted by a ring road roundabout installed for traffic management in the 1960’s. We used public art as a way of improving awareness in those who travelled around it, that a diverse community lived and thrived here and it was not “just a roundabout”. It was a way of showing that the community deserved some consideration when plans were being made about their home. "
