Rookwood House Garden & Gift Fair Thursday 19th April 2018

And

Charity Gala Evening Saturday 21st April 2018

Supporting The Rosemary Appeal

Welcome to the Gala Auction List, in aid of The Rosemary Appeal buiding and equipping a Dialysis and Cancer Care Unit at West Berkshire Hospital.

On Saturday 21st April 2018 we are hosting a black tie Gala Evening at Rookwood Farmhouse.  The Garden and Gift Fair, Ball and Auction are to raise money for building and equipping a new Dialysis and Cancer Care Unit.  All money raised from this Auction will go towards supporting members of our community that face the daily commute for treatment.

This auction is open for you to bid online until 12 noon Friday 20th April when online bidding will close.  Bidding will re-open at the Dinner on Saturday 21st April,  and will only be available at the venue.

If you are not attending the Gala Dinner, but wish to bid on an item, you can still give yourself the best chance of winning by placing a proxy (maximum) bid on this page. We then will carry your bid over to the main auction on the evening of the dinner and continue bidding up for you up to your maximum.

You can also register to receive a text alert to tell you if you are outbid on the night of the dinner.  You will then be able to bid again for that item via text, so you don't need to miss out!  Just tick the box to receive a text alert when you bid.

The Auction is open to all; whether you are attending The Garden and Gift Fair or the Gala Evening, or not.  Please share with family & friends, colleagues & neighbours, and any other auction enthusiasts you know!  Spread the word as there is such a wide range of auctions items so there is sure to be something for everyone!  Lets make a wonderful contribution to The Rosemary Appeal!

Winning bidders will be contacted after the auction closes.  Payment will be via bank transfer, cash or cheque.

Happy bidding & good luck!

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
