A group of artists and photographers who have come together to raise money for The Big Cat Sanctuary and their Big Cats in Crisis Campaign.
We have a collection or Original Artworks, Prints and Photographs donated. Pieces are up to A5 in size
The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent is a centre dedicated to the conservation of wild cats, helping to maintain genetic diversity in the captive populations of the most endangered wild cats and offering peace and tranquility to cats in need
The Sanctuary's objectives are Welfare, Breeding, Education, Conservation and Rescue. The ultimate aim is to help save some of the planets most endangered and iconic cat species from extinction and to support welfare wherever possible.
This is achieved by collaborating with global conservation organisations, making donations to support in-situ conservation strategies and by delivering education on the preservation of wildlife and habitats around the world
The Sanctuary is proud to have contributed breeding programmes of Snow Leopards, Amur Tigers, Sumatran Tigers and Jaguars to name a few. The centre offers personal big cat experiences including overnight stays, big cat encounters, cream teas, photography, ranger days and educational sessions.
Big Cats in Crisis Campaign aims to provide a forever home for 5 African Lions from the Ukraine.
There are 4 lionesses, Vanda, Amani, Lire and Yuna and a male lion called Rori. They are trying to raise urgent funds to build a rescue center and get them all transported safely to the UK with the help from IFAW ( International Fund for Animal Welfare)

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, my passion for wildlife started at an early age. My earliest memories include early morning drives in my beloved Hwange National Park. Art came as a by-product and a way to express my passion. Studying photography at university, later completing field and trails guide qualifications, gave me an even greater appreciation for the natural world and a want to conserve it through my work. I have always been drawn to monochrome imagery, especially the simplicity of focus on tone and form, a feature I strive for in my works. It's also quite handy, being colour-blind!

I'm based in Lancashire and love to use pencils of all varieties (coloured, pastel, watercolour and graphite). I love to draw and my main focus is animals; wild and domestic, especially cats. I love to visit the Big Cat Sanctuary when I can and I'm delighted to be able to contribute to the auction to support the Big Cats in Crisis project.

Animals and art have always been a big part of my life. I've been a zoo keeper for almost six years and prior to that volunteered at my local animal sanctuary.
I am currently a carnivore keeper at Howletts Wild Animal Park so spend most of my days surrounded by exotic animals and raising awareness of species and the threats they face in the wild; three of my favourite species being Dhole, Snow Leopards and Clouded Leopards. Outside of work I take part in many different types of arts and crafts, whether it be photography, painting, drawing, wood burning or even crocheting. Generally animals are my main focus but I have in the past done human portraiture. One of my most recent pieces was a giant crocheted Dhole plush used to help raise funds for the Dhole Conservation Fund.

I have been a amateur photographer who enjoys safaris and photographing animals now for about 20 years.
In 2016 I was shortlisted in the Sony world photography competition, for a photo I took whilst on holiday in Burma of a bridge.
Then in 2021 I applied and successfully obtained a Royal Photographic award, my LRPS
I also design and handmade jewellery in precious metals, I paint botanical subjects, which I also teach and I also undertake pet portraits.

I am a professional artist based in Kent, UK. My art career began as a designer in a Medical Advertising Agency, having qualified as a Graphic Artist in Natal, SA. After moving to the UK in 1997, I worked in a London Design Studio before choosing to become a professional artist, tutor and demonstrator in 2000.
I particularly enjoy working with mixed media (acrylics, acrylic inks, pastels and collage papers). It is challenging and gives me the flexibility to vary the combinations and push my boundaries. I am passionate about colour and movement, which is evident in my expressive, energetic and spontaneous style.
My favourite subjects are crowded spaces with old architectural backdrops, quirky still life and wildlife. One’s heart never leaves Africa, so if I cannot visit it in the flesh, then I transport myself to the African bush via my paintings.
