Graham Ball, Founder and CEO of The Victoria Foundation, and eleven supporters of the charity took part in a once in a lifetime five day trekking or cycling challenge in Brazil to raise funds to help transform many more lives.
The Team have raised a fantastic £30,000 which will help to provide mobility aids for disabled children, toolkit grants for students studying medicine from disadvantaged backgrounds, and a number of medical charities close to the hearts of Team Members including: Alzheimer’s Society, Bowel Cancer UK, British Red Cross, Tiffany Circle, Mobility Aids Service, Evelina Hospital Guy’s and St Thomas’ and the Stroke Association.
The trekkers walked for up to six hours a day in stunning scenery and at night slept in basic homes listening to the sound of the forest. The cyclists had the Atlantic Green Rain Forest on one side, the Atlantic Ocean on the other with views of the most beautiful beaches and islands of Brazil as they completed the 5 day cycling challenge.
The challenge finished in the famous carnival city of Rio de Janeiro where the trekkers and cyclists met up for a celebration.
The Victoria Foundation would like to thank all those who have so generously sponsored the team and team members, who have personally covered the costs to take part, for their fantastic support.
Please sponsor the team NOW - every donation will help to transform lives.
