A vinyl copy of 'Space Travel, Rock & Roll' by cult alt-rock band Swervedriver - signed by frontman Adam Franklin.
Swervedriver are an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 around core members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Between 1989 and 1998, the band released four studio albums and numerous EPs and singles despite a considerable flux of members, managers, and record labels. By 1993 the band’s lineup had settled with Franklin on vocals/guitar, Hartridge on guitar, Jez Hindmarsh on drums, and Steve George on bass. They had emerged with a heavier rock sound than their shoegaze contemporaries, and over the next five years it evolved to include elements of psychedelia, classic pop, and indie rock. In 2008, the band reunited for touring purposes. They released their first new single in fifteen years in September 2013, and their first full-length album in seventeen years in March 2015.

This is a hardback edition of internationally-acclaimed and award-winning graphic novel, 'The Nao Of Brown' by Glyn Dillon - signed by the author with an additional hand-inked illustration of Nao dreaming of the latest Star Wars villain Rylo Ken.
Winner of the Special Jury Prize, Angoulême International Comics Festival, 2013 - and the Best Book Award, British Comic Awards 2013
Twenty-eight-year-old Nao Brown, who’s hafu (half Japanese, half English), is not well. She’s suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and fighting violent urges to harm other people. But that’s not who she really wants to be. Nao has dreams. She wants to quiet her unruly mind; she wants to get her design and illustration career off the ground; and she wants to find love, perfect love.
Nao’s life continues to seesaw. Her boyfriend dumps her; a toy deal falls through. But she also meets Gregory, an interesting washing-machine repairman, and Ray, an art teacher at the Buddhist Center. She begins to draw and meditate to ease her mind and open her heart—and in doing so comes to a big realization: Life isn’t black-and-white after all . . . it’s much more like brown.
Glyn Dillon is a British comics and film storyboard and concept artist.
His father was a signwriter; his older brother Steve is also a comics artist. He got his first job in comics at the age of 17, and worked in comics for seven years, drawing "Planet Swerve", a strip about "art students in space" written by Alan Martin, for Deadline, and work for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint, including the miniseries Egypt with writer Peter Milligan and Shade, the Changing Man with the same writer. He drew part of the "The Kindly Ones" story arc in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series.
Glyn's film storyboard work includes 'Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens' for which he is credited with designing Rylo Ken's helmet.

Equally as comfortable in the kitchen as on stage, Hardeep Singh-Kohli is a Glaswegian entrepreneur, responsible for one of the most successful Indian restaurant chains in the city, and an award-winning stand-up comedian.
A Glasgow University Law graduate, Hardeep knew from the outset that his future lay in entertainment. He joined a BBC training scheme, and moved to London to direct and produce kids TV, including Janet Street Porter’s series Reportage, and the RTS and BAFTA winner It Will Never Work.
'Meet the Magoons' for Channel 4’s Comedy Lab brought Hardeep to the attention of comedy fans and producers, and was nominated for the Golden Rose at the Montreux Comedy Festival.
Next Hardeep worked on the BAFTA winning ‘In Search of the Tartan Turban’, in which he explored his cultural identity as a British-Scottish Asian, and which led to the follow up series ‘Hardeep does…’ for Channel 4.
Informed and intelligent as well as funny, Hardeep has appeared on The One Show; Question Time; This Week with Andrew Neil, and has presented parts of Newsnight. ‘Hardeep is your love’ was a regular column in the Scotland on Sunday and he has been a Contributing Editor at the Spectator Magazine.
Hardeep was a finalist on ‘Celebrity MasterChef’, in 2006, following which he presented a UKTV cooking series with John Torode, and his book ‘Indian Takeaway: One Man’s Attempt to Cook his Way Home’ has become a bestseller, and takes a deeply insightful look into the mixed cultural and culinary identity of Britain’s Indian community.
For the last few years, Hardeep has presented 'Hardeep's Sunday Lunch' on BBC Radio 4, in which each episode sees him cooking lunch and at the home of someone with an incredible story to tell.
*Please note that Hardeep's visit will need to be within the Greater London or Greater Glasgow areas.

Alice Russell is a British soul singer-songwriter. Russell began making a name for herself in the early 2000s, contributing to recordings by Bah Samba, Quantic, TM Juke, Kushti and Nostalgia 77.
Her work with Bah Samba infused Latin sounds with tinges of uplifting jazz and funk, whereas her material with the band Kushti contained a more laid back, hip hop and soul inspired sound. Her debut album, Under The Munka Moon was released on the Tru Thoughts label in 2004, which was an amalgamation of various singles, remixes and collaborations.
In 2005, her debut studio album My Favourite Letters was recorded on the Tru Thoughts label. Created by Russell with co-writer, producer, guitarist and musical friend Alex Cowan (a.k.a. TM Juke), the album received positive reviews. Her third release, Under the Munka Moon II (Tru Thoughts) in 2006 compiled her most recent collaborations, remixes, and cover versions including an interpretation of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army". The Alice Russell – Live in Paris DVD also came out in 2006, and was the first DVD the Tru Thoughts label had released. A limited edition signed copy of the famous 'Customer Services: Kitchen' print from the wonderfully irreverent Modern Toss oeuvre.
Modern Toss is a British comic by Jon Link and Mick Bunnage. Renowned for their scurrilous humour and highly stylised animation, it was created in 2004, initially as a website publishing single panel jokes and then as series of irregularly released comics. To date there have been seven comics, with the early ones now highly collectable (especially the second, with its free sample of royal hair). The first four comics were republished as two books by Macmillan and two TV series were produced for Channel 4 and distributed worldwide by Fremantle Media.
Prior to starting Modern Toss, Jon Link and Mick Bunnage were on the original launch team for Loaded magazine, where they developed their first joint cartoon strip 'Office Pest'.
Other prints can be bought at the Modern Toss shop: http://shop.moderntoss.com/

Signed, original full-colour illustration by Martin Rowson, one of the UK's most revered political cartoonists.
The painting - depicting Prime Minister David Cameron re-arranging the deckchairs on a sinking Titanic whilst refugees fleeing Syria in dinghies are seeking help below - was first published in The Guardian on Friday 22nd January 2016.
Martin Rowson is a British editorial cartoonist and writer. His genre is political satire and his style is scathing and graphic. He characterizes his work as "visual journalism". His cartoons appear frequently in The Guardian and The Daily Mirror and he also contributes freelance cartoons to other publications, such as Tribune, Index on Censorship and the Morning Star.
Rowson's books include graphic adaptations of 'The Waste Land' and 'Tristram Shandy'. 'Snatches', his first novel, was published in 2006 and is a comic journey through history, focusing on the "stories of the worst decisions the human race has ever made". 'Stuff', his next novel, is part autobiography, part history of his family and upbringing.
In 2008 he published 'The Dog Allusion: Gods, Pets and How to Be Human', arguing that religion is a complete waste of time and money — much like keeping pets. In 2014 he published 'The Coalition Book' containing a collection of cartoons, and a written account, of the four years of the coalition government.
Rowson is an Honorary Associate of the National Secular Society and a distinguished supporter and board member of the British Humanist Association. He was appointed 'Cartoonist Laureate' of London when Ken Livingstone was Mayor, and his cartoons appeared in the Mayor's newsletter, The Londoner. In 2006 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Journalism from the University of Westminster. In 2014 he was appointed to an Honorary Fellowship by Goldsmiths, University of London.

A signed copy of 'The Five Of Us' by British children's author and illustrator, Quentin Blake.
'The Five Of Us' is a captivating tale of adventure, friendship and teamwork from one of Britain's best-loved illustrators. Angie, Ollie, Simona, Mario and Eric are five fantastic friends, each of whom has an unusual ability. Disaster strikes on a day out to the countryside but, working together and combining their individual powers, the Fantastic Five save the day. Teeming with Quentin Blake's characteristic sense of fun and his exuberant illustrations, 'The Five Of Us' is also a powerful, though subtle, reminder that the world is a better place when we focus on what we can do, rather than on what we can't.
Sir Quentin Blake, CBE, FCSD, FRSL, RDI is an English cartoonist, illustrator and children's writer. He may be known best for illustrating books written by Roald Dahl. For his lasting contribution as a children's illustrator he won the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2002, the highest recognition available to creators of children's books. From 1999 to 2001 he was the inaugural British Children's Laureate. In March 2014 he was awarded the insignia of Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur at a ceremony at the Institut Français in London.

It is a beguiling celebration of the curiosities of everyday life, and of what it is to be curious - in every sense of the word.

A copy of 2015 album 'The Scene Between' on vinyl by acclaimed indie dance/rock/mash-up band The Go! Team. It is signed by the whole band.
The Go! Team are a six-piece band from Brighton, England. They combine indie rock and garage rock with a mixture of blaxploitation and Bollywood soundtracks, double Dutch chants, old school hip hop and distorted guitars. Their songs are a mix of live instrumentation and samples from various sources. The band's vocals vary between performances: while live vocals are handled mostly by Ninja (with Angela Mak also singing some solos), vocals on record also feature sampled and guest voices.
Lasers through tracing paper, orange tone oscillations, cable access hangover, a K-tel dream sequence, a haunted vision mixer, station wagon-core, straight to video, something in the fog, fluff on the needle, chromakey constellations, a hovercraft on the fret board, faxing a car alarm, a Morse code pep talk, etch a sketch jacknife, a daily Haley's comet, light sound colour motion, a holiday from yourself, Ceefax taking Oracle, second sight summer camp, 360 degree tunnel vision, Chinese whispers by post, the opposite of hula hooping, the geometry of ideas, maxing the minute maid, a teleprompter for your dreams, carry the ten, pathways in patchwork... 'The Scene Between' is the critically acclaimed fourth studio album by The Go! Team.

This is a copy of a London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony programme signed by the senior creative team.
This an exclusive item, and is the only copy in the world to have been signed by all of these people.
Signatures inside include, amongst others:
Danny Boyle (Artistic Director)
Frank Cottrell Boyce (Writer)
Mark Tildesley (Designer)
Rick Smith / Underworld (Musical Director)
The opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games took place on the evening of Friday 27 July in the Olympic Stadium, London. As mandated by the Olympic Charter, the proceedings combined the formal ceremonial opening of this international sporting event (including welcoming speeches, hoisting of the flags and the parade of athletes) with an artistic spectacle to showcase the host nation's culture. The 2012 Games were formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II. The spectacle was entitled Isles of Wonder and directed by Academy Award-winning British film director Danny Boyle.
The ceremony began at 21:00 BST and lasted almost four hours. It was watched by an estimated worldwide television audience of 900 million, becoming the most-viewed Olympic opening ceremony in both the UK and US.. The content had largely been kept secret before the performance, despite involving thousands of volunteers and two public rehearsals. The principal sections of the artistic display represented Britain's Industrial Revolution, National Health Service, literary heritage, popular music and culture, and were noted for their vibrant storytelling and use of music. Two shorter sections drew particular comment, involving a filmed cameo appearance of the Queen, and a live performance by the London Symphony Orchestra joined by comedian Rowan Atkinson. These were widely ascribed to Britain's sense of humour. The ceremony featured children and young people in most of its segments, reflecting the 'inspire a generation' aspiration of London's original bid for the Games.

C.J. Flood is one of the UK's most exciting authors for young adults, winning the 2014 Branford Boase Award for an outstanding debut novel for children.
'Infinite Sky' has won plaudits from all over, and this signed copy is up for auction.
True love is never lost - but how much loss can it endure? Iris confronts the complexities of family and prejudice in this exquisite and searing debut novel.
Just two months after her mother abandons her family, leaving her gruff, introverted father to raise two children alone, Iris watches a family of gypsies set up an illegal camp in the paddock by her house. The gypsy boy, Trick, is restless and warm and full of life - he'll settle when he's in his grave, he tells Iris - and she feels as though she understands him completely.
Yet even as Iris's secret friendship with Trick blooms into something more, tensions run high between their families. Iris's father is bent on evicting the travelers, and her beloved brother Sam is impulsive, lost, and headed for trouble. But Trick might not be everything he seems, and as Iris struggles to find where her loyalties lie, all of the prejudice, vulnerability, and anger that surrounds her collides in an unspeakable tragedy.
Like love, and like sorrow, the blue summer sky is infinite in this coming-of-age story that is both breathtaking and heartbreaking.

Confirm your bid
By confirming your bid, you commit to buy this item if you are the winning bidder at the end of the auction and you agree to the terms of this auction.
SIGNED IN AS :
When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
