Neuroblastoma UK Auction EveningRead more ...
Neuroblastoma UK event was inspired by a young artist, Elysia Hassett- Gray who
lost her battle with Neuroblastoma at the age of 13. Elysia’s mother and
family friend, celebrated Sculptor Guy Reid, decided to auction one of his
exceptional sculptures to help Neuroblastoma UK raise funds for research and
raise awareness of this rare childhood cancer.
We now have tremendous support from many other leading artists, writers and illustrators who have donated unique artworks and books for an online auction, which is open to the public for a limited time and will run up until 2pm on the 3rd of February 2016. On the 4th February there will be a special evening with 100 guests. The guests will have the opportunity to continue bidding on the auction items and 6 of these unique gifts will be auctioned live at the event by Chatty Man comedian Alan Carr.
We are hugely grateful to both Guy Reid and Alan Carr for
making this evening possible and hope to raise much needed funds for Neuroblastoma
Neuroblastoma UK is a registered charity (no. 326385). The Charity's sole purpose is the relief of children suffering from neuroblastoma, and to achieve this it raises funds for medical research into improving both diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
Please help us by bidding on the wonderful auction items
listed here, or you can donate direct via this website. The bidding works
just like most auction sites, if you put in a maximum bid your bid will increase
automatically, in increments, up to your maxmum bid when another bidder inputs
a bid above your bid but below your maximum bid. If you are the highest
bidder at the close of online bidding on the 3rd February, your maximum bids
will be carried forward to the auction evening where the guests can try and
outbid you! If they don't you will be the winner and will be contacted on
the 5th February to arrange payment and delivery of your item. So make
sure you put your maximum bid at the highest you want to go to give you the
best chance of keeping it!
Happy bidding and thank you all for your support.
If you have any questions or problems please email
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
