Art Auction By Association Of Animal Artists For ARK Exotic Animal Sanctuary

At the Association Of Animal Artists, our passion for animals transcends the surfaces we create art on. As such, every year we fund-raise for an animal charity through art sales and events, and this year we are supporting ARK Exotic Animal Sanctuary. Our annual postcard auction is the perfect chance for you to grab a beautiful piece of 6x4" art from our members, and help the animals living at ARK too!

ARK Exotic Animal Sanctuary, in Lincolnshire, UK, is home to a plethora of animals, from lynx through to terrapins, the majority of which have been rescued from the European pet trade. Whether being surrendered due to neglect, being owned illegally, or just finding themselves in need of a new home, ARK provides it's 250 animals with an epic forever home, and a brand new lease of life. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARK has had to close their doors to the public, and have subsequently lost all income with which to care for their animals. Despite this, ARK remains dedicated to their residents, and determined to make it through - and with your help they can continue the vital work they do in rescuing & rehabilitating animals caught in the exotic pet trade.

We are holding an art auction in to raise as much as we can to support ARK during this challenging year. Our members have created lots of stunning pieces, all depicting animals from ARK, especially for you! So please have a browse through, and pop a bid on your favourites to be in with the chance of not only winning some stunning art, but also to help the animal it portrays!

The auction will end on the 10th June, after which the winning bidder will be contacted. Good luck, and happy bidding!

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
