Melanie Tomlinson works with illustration and metal to create vibrant and intensely detailed narrative jewelry and small sculptural objects that reflect her deep love and passion for nature. She is particularly interested in the role of traditional folk narrative to explore the complex relationships between communities and the natural world. She has developed and refined her specialist techniques for printing onto sheet metal for over fifteen years.

These "Wales Gas reproductions" are collector's items, often appearing at auction, and feature scenes from Pembrokeshire, a region Sutherland was deeply inspired by.

Diana Heeks trained as a painter at Birmingham in 1964, and subsequently trained and worked as an art teacher and an art therapist. During 2006-2009 she studied for an MA Fine Art at Cardiff and Aberystwyth.

"I work across a spectrum of ideas and materials, taking inspiration from many sources: landscape and the natural world, literature, the art and design of eastern cultures, other artists, and often from the materials themselves. My approach is intuitive, with a process that often starts playfully and then becomes more serious and specific. I mainly work with oils, but also love watercolour, and have also worked with clay, glass, textiles and print."

Elizabeth Haines has developed a distinctive voice that balances observation, poetry, and imagination. Her work straddles the boundary between representation and abstraction: drawing from the landscapes of Wales, informed by years sketching from nature, yet transformed through memory and dreams.

She is nfluenced by early 20th-century artists — the British colourists, Klee, Kandinsky, and the St Ives school among them — Elizabeth's art is rich in texture, colour, and inner space. Her studio practice is deeply connected to her surroundings: the rugged terrain, changing light of Pembrokeshire feed her work, but so too do poetry and music, and her philosophical inquiries exploring the relationships between visual art and other art forms.

Her paintings invite the viewer in: at first through colour, surface, and form; then deeper, toward architecture, trees, or horizons suggested rather than stated. Each piece is an invitation to linger. Her work is held in public and private collections and has been exhibited widely through Wales and beyond.

Alec Lewis’s art negotiates the terrain between text and image, memory and materiality. Beginning often with a phrase — a lyric, poem or quotation — he allows words to echo in his visual consciousness, and then seeks to render what those echoes give rise to. By using collage and found materials, he embeds within his work fragments of the everyday — paper, tickets, cardboard — giving his images a texture of lived life: the residues of time, the overlooked objects we discard but which, when collected, accrue meaning.

His subjects are both personal and universal: he paints individuals who have deeply inspired him — poets, musicians, writers — but does so in a way that invites the viewer to bring their own resonances.

Paul Peter Piech was an American artist, printmaker, and publisher. Born in Brooklyn to Ukrainian parents, he spent a large part of his life in Wales, Piech is notable for his linocut and woodcut prints that advocate for social justice.
The Independent claims his "books and posters confront the viewer with the need for global responsibility and co-operation."
The National Library of Wales described Piech as "internationally acclaimed."

Trained at Maidstone College of Art and having spent many years as Art Director and Creative Director in the advertising world, Alec is a well known locally based painter who has previously had solo exhibitions at the Torch Theatre, Tenby Museum and Art Gallery and the Gate Gallery St Clears and has also contributed to several joint shows including at Oriel Q in Narberth. Much of his work reflects his interest in the written word, whether it’s in music, poetry, myth or legend, and the people that have influenced his life.

Redvers John is an artist / creator who graduated in Fine Art Painting, drawing and printmaking at Trinity St David’s in West Wales. Redvers has exhibited widely in the UK and has gallery representation and has won various art prizes. He has work in private collections in the UK and worldwide. The artwork prints are based from Redvers’s love of magic especially playing cards, and the style comes from the late 70’s D.I.Y collage punk ethic of ripped and torn paper. Collage compositions were originally made up first, and these works were then painted on to canvas.
