Horris Hill 130th Anniversary Spring Ball, kindly sponsored by NFU MutualRead more ...
This year, we are celebrating 130 years of Horris Hill School and to mark this occasion we are holding a Spring Ball. This ball has been kindly sponsored by NFU Mutual. We hope to raise funds for the exciting Theatre Development Project during the ball by offering these fabulous lots at auction.
You can bid on these lots online until 2 p.m. on 4th May when online bidding will close. Bidding will re-open at the Ball on 5th May, and will only be available at the venue.
If you are unable to attend the Ball, but wish to bid on an item, you can still give yourself the best chance of winning by placing a proxy (maximum) bid on this page. We will then carry your bid over to the main auction on the evening of the ball and continue bidding for you up to your maximum bid. You will be contacted after the Ball if your bid has been successful.
The first seven lots will be offered 'live' during the ball on 5th May by our guest auctioneer, Thomas Plant. If you are unable to attend the ball but would like to place a bid on any of these lots, please email email@example.com with your maximum bid and we will place the bids on your behalf during the ball.
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
