WINCHESTER SUMMER PARTY

The Parents' Events Committee, in association with Winchester College Society, organises a Summer Party for parents. This year the event is on 28th June at Drapers' Hall in London.

The money raised from the online auction, sale of merchandise, the raffle and donations will be supporting Outdoor Learning at Winchester and Bursaries. Donations can be made online, tax efficiently, via the Winchester College Society website.

Thank you for taking part!

The Bespolka Family Challenge

The Bespolka family has generously pledged to match pound for pound on every donation, raffle purchase and successful auction bid, up to a value of £50,000, towards outdoor learning at the school.

The pledge is in memory of their son Cameron (C, 2011-13), who tragically died in 2013. From a very early age, Cameron was passionate about nature and in particular birds, which is why the family is keen to help ensure that outdoor learning is an integral part of a Winchester education. This will be a wonderful legacy to Cameron and his time at the school.

Outdoor Classroom & Pontoon Walkway - £150,000

The school is extremely fortunate to be situated in a wonderful natural environment and it is important that the boys are encouraged to have an understanding of this, the natural world and ecology. The Duncan Louis Stewart Fellow in Natural History, Mr Nick Baker, wants to create an outdoor learning area on the corner of Meads and a pontoon on the banks of the Itchen. This will accommodate up to thirty pupils at a time, with a seating and writing area designed to blend in with the river scape. It will be used by all departments, as well as other local schools and outdoor groups.

Thank you for helping us to rise to the Bespolka Family Challenge!
