University of Essex Catholic society’s trip to Cambridge.
Saturday 11 October 2025
Catholic Society trip to Cambridge with tour of the city. A chance to see Cambridge and to get to know people.
Please note that our trips are open to everyone (Essex students). We try to provide an interesting visit (even if we are not experts) and the opportunity to make friends.
We hope people will understand that, for this reason, we wouldn’t want people to join our trip just as a way of travelling somewhere and then just do their own thing during the day.
MINIBUS TICKET
There are 16 tickets available for people to travel with us in a minibus.
Please note that we are only able to take current Essex students in the minibus.
But other students or alumni could travel there by train and some are intending to do so.
When you book your ticket you will be sent a WhatsApp group link. It would be helpful if you can join the Cambridge trip WhatsApp group so we can communicate about travel arrangements.

If you want to go punting then we recommend you bring some old shoes or trainers and perhaps spare trousers in case you get a bit wet.
We also plan to go to Evensong at King's College at 5:30pm (optional). Finishes 6:30pm.
Group meets outside King's College at 6:30pm
We plan to have some simple food - e.g. McDonald's or other inexpensive food. It would be nice to have this together but if you are not with us please make sure you get in touch so we don't have to wait for you and delay our departure.
If you buy a ticket and are then not able to go please let us know as soon as possible. We can't usually give refunds but we may be willing to do so in some circumstances. Tickets are not transferrable between people
