Benjamin Britten’s oratorio, St Nicolas, is one of his best-loved works and the Camden Choir is delighted to be performing it as a tribute to one of Britain’s greatest composers almost exactly 50 years after his death.

In addition, we shall be singing the world première of The Sparrow in the Hall, specially commissioned from our accompanist Alessandro MacKinnon-Botti, who is studying composition at the Royal Academy of Music.

Finally our conductor Iestyn Evans will fulfil a lifetime’s ambition and play Poulenc’s much admired Organ Concerto, noted for its ability to juxtapose Gothic intensity with irreverent charm.
