Treloar’s Charity Gala Dinner & Silent Auction

Treloar’s Charity Gala Dinner & Silent Auction

jumblebee recently ran a silent auction in the lead up to Treloar’s annual Mansion House fundraising dinner in London. Two students from Treloar School were the stars of the show. Amy and Beth sang solos as part of the entertainment, which included an address by Treloar’s patron, broadcaster and journalist Alastair Stewart OBE and a performance by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The sell-out event attracted 260 guests and raised over £25,000 for the charity.

Beth and Amy were helped to prepare for the event by Jocelyn Watkins, music teacher at the school. The girls overcame their nerves and performed beautifully, attracting much admiration from the audience. They did not want to stop singing and sang all the way back from London to the Holybourne campus.

Jocelyn said ‘’Amy and Beth get a great sense of achievement by being able to take part in these events and it boosts their self- esteem and confidence enormously. They had a fantastic time and were buzzing all the way home.’’
