Feedback from 2020 Dinner auction lot bidder: "David's mentoring session after your fundraiser was very helpful to my daughter. She has just been promoted to manager. This week there was turmoil as a director has left and told her that this was her chance to shine. She now has people working for her and several client accounts to manage. Thank you David."

Highgate Cemetery, a beautiful Victorian cemetery near Hamptead Heath, has some of the finest funerary architecture in the country. It is a place of peaceful contemplation where trees, memorials and wildlife flourish. Home to over 170,000 buried in some 53,000, those buried include Karl Marx, George Eliot, Christina Rossetti, Douglas Adams and Malcolm McLaren. This auction lot is for a private guided tour of the West and East parts of Highgate Cemetery for up to 10 people lasting approximately about 2 hours.
A springtime visit is particularly recommended as the Cemetery looks at its best between February and May as the bulbs progress from snowdrops through daffodils, to primroses and bluebells and finally to wild garlic."
The tour will need to be arranged in advance at a time to suit all parties to ensure it does not conflict with funerals or any other tours that might be scheduled and would need to be taken on a weekday – NB a weekend tour is not possible.
Auction experience must be used within one year of auction.

LIVE AUCTION Champagne Reception and Dinner for 20 at Brooks's

LIVE AUCTION Champagne Reception and Dinner for 20 at Brooks's
CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION AND DINNER FOR 20 AT BROOKS’S
Champagne reception and 3-course dinner with wine for 20 guests at Brooks’s Club hosted by Alan Warner. Menu to be agreed with the successful bidder. Guest speaker: Charles Sebag Montefiore.
The dinner will be held in the Great Subscription Room famous for the Dilettanti Society’s magnificent paintings by Joshua Reynolds and portraits by Lawrence and others.
Guest speaker - Charles Sebag Montefiore is the Joint Secretary of the Dilettanti Society and Trustee of the National Gallery Trust. He will speak about the Society and the portraits housed in the Club Library, the Great Subscription Room and the Bar.
About Brooks’s Club: In January 1762 a private society was established at 50 Pall Mall by Messrs. Boothby and James in response to having been ‘blackballed’ for membership of White's. This society then split to form the predecessors of both Brooks's and Boodle's. The Club that was to become Brooks's was founded in March 1764 by twenty-seven prominent Whig nobles including the Duke of Portland, the Duke of Roxburghe, Lord Crewe and Lord Strathmore. Charles James Fox was elected as a member the following year at the age of sixteen. In September 1777 William Brooks, a wine merchant and money lender, commissioned Henry Holland to design and construct a purpose built clubhouse on St James's Street. Paid for at Brooks's own expense. The current building was completed in October 1778. Brooks's gamble paid off as all existing members swiftly moved into the new building and the Club then took on Brooks's name as its own. Brooks himself however would not live long to enjoy this success, dying in poverty in 1782. The new clubhouse was built of yellow brick and Portland stone in a Palladian style similar to Holland's early country houses. The main suite of rooms on the first floor consisted of the Great Subscription Room, Small Drawing Room and the Card Room. The interiors are in neoclassical style, the Great Subscription Room having a segmental barrel vault ceiling.
Auction experience must be used within one year of auction.

Middle Temple is one of the four “Inns of Court”. Its Hall is probably the finest example of an Elizabethan Hall in London. 101 feet long and 41 feet wide, it is spanned by a magnificent double hammer-beam roof.
Begun in 1562 when Edmund Plowden, the famous law reporter, was Treasurer of the Inn, it has remained little altered to the present day, though it has seen many famous visitors since Sir Walter Raleigh was admitted a member of the Inn in 1574 and dined here with Sir Francis Drake. Not least among those visitors is Shakespeare who premiered Twelfth Night here in 1602.
The Hall, however, is not just an historic relic. It is the centre of the life of the Inn today. Senior judges, barristers and Bar Students meet here daily at lunch, and in the evenings for formal suppers. Here are held not only the student moots, but all the great functions and meetings of the 21st century Middle Temple and Bar.
Middle Temple is one of two Inns charged with maintaining the famous Temple Church built by the Knights Templar, the order of crusading monks founded to protect pilgrims on their way to and from Jerusalem in the 12th century.
This lot includes a tour of Middle Temple Hall for up to four people together with access to Temple Church followed by lunch in Middle Temple Hall.

LIVE AUCTION A 12 bottle case of Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, Pauillac 2009
A 12 bottle case of Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, Pauillac 2009
What’s not to like about this wonderful very rarely available wine from the “legendary” 2009 vintage, with a drinking window from 2020 - 2040? The case is currently in Members Reserves at the Wine Society (duty paid) and will be delivered to the successful bidder direct from there.
· Here are the scores on WineSearcher: Wine Advocate96/100, Jancis Robinson MW18/20, Wine Spectator 92-95/100, Robert Parker98/100, and Decanter18.5/20
· “Revealing incredible quality and performing better than it did from barrel, the 2009 appears to be the greatest Pichon Longueville Baron since the 1990 and 1989. An amazing opaque blue/purple color is followed by scents of spring flowers, graphite, smoky charcoal, incense, blackberries, blueberries and hints of coffee and chocolate. Incredibly intense, pure and flawlessly constructed with extravagant layers of fruit and richness, this offering has developed beautifully under the management of Christian Seeley. It is a voluptuous, opulent Pichon Longueville Baron that may eclipse anything they have made in the past. Robert Parker - Wine Advocate - February 2012
· “The 2009 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a medium to deep garnet colour and a very meaty/savoury nose over a core of sweaty leather, baked blackberries and plums with notions of creme de cassis, sauteed herbs and black olives coming through with coaxing. Full, rich, concentrated and decadently fruited in the mouth, the palate has beautifully plush tannins and an herbal lift on the long finish.” Wine Advocate Lisa Perrotti-Brown - 14/03/2019

A half-day customised off-site leadership / strategy / teambuilding workshop for a team of 3-30
Leadership and professional success are dependent on building trust and relationships, both externally with our ‘customers’ and internally with our colleagues. They also require a shared team vision of where we are, where we want to go and on how we’re going to get there.
David will work with you to create and deliver a half-day leadership workshop for your team, based on frameworks and experience from other professional, commercial and not-for-profit organisations. He may also suggest using jazz as a metaphor (though you may resist this.!)
David is a IAF-Certified Professional Facilitator and Professor-in-Residence in learning and culture at Cornell University.

Cadaques is a small sea-side town where Salvador Dali lived, about two hours North of Barcelona, and an hour from Girona. It is very near the French border. The closest airports are Girona and Perpignan both Ryanair.
It is available most of the year, apart from July and August.
There are lovely walks, and tennis nearby. It is possible to visit Dali's house and various museums and galleries. There is a bus service to Figueres, Girona and Barcelona. The best time for flowers is in late April / May. For swimming it is warmer later. September and October are still very nice.
1 room with queen size bed & private bathroom, 1 room with king bed, 1 room with twin beds
1 bathroom with bath and shower
Washing-machine
Fully equipped Kitchen
Large living room with balcony
Sea view
Salvador Dalí once said in 1920: "I have spent a delightful summer, as always, in the perfect and dreamy town of Cadaqués. There, alongside the Latin sea, I have been quenched by light and colour".
Facing the Mediterranean Sea at the head of a crystal clear bay, Cadaqués was a favourite of both Picasso and Salvador Dalí who were drawn to the area's incredible light and sea breezes. Cadaques remains a favourite spot for artists and is popular with weekenders from Barcelona and visitors from farther afield. The town has been developed carefully over the years and retains its charm. Most who discover it return for seconds.
A former fishing village that was once only accessible by sea, Cadaqués sits on the far North-East of Spain, in Catalonia. It is right on the edge of the Cap de Creus Peninsula, where the Pyrenees mountains meet the sea, just south of the French border.

‘For ease, Rukmini Iyer’s ‘Roasting Tin’ books are hard to
beat. Everything happens in one dish in the oven’
Ajesh Patalay, FT Weekend
Rukmini is a recipe writer, food stylist and formerly a lawyer, and loves creating delicious and easy recipes with minimum fuss and maximum flavour. Working in food and on her feet all day, she realised that the meals she made when she got home grew simpler - often in just one roasting tin - and that there were ways of packing flavour and interest into the dishes with an absolute minimum of effort. This became the inspiration for her bestselling books.
When she's not writing cookbooks, Rukmini styles food and writes recipes for numerous brands and publications including The Guardian, Waitrose and Fortnum and Mason, and works as a home economist for television commercials and feature films.
Rukmini lives with her partner Tim and border collie Pepper in London, and enjoys entertaining (both people and the dog), gardening and interior design. She supports the charities Women's Aid, Refuge, Shelter, Crisis & The Dog’s Trust and is currently on maternity leave.

6 bottle case of Meursault-Genevrieres 2016 Domaine Jean Monnier & Fils Premier Cru White Burgundy.
The Monnier family have been winemakers ‘from father to son’ since 1720. Whether from Meursault, Volnay, Pommard or Beaune, their wines bear all the qualities and subtleties of the terroir from which they are harvested.
This magnificent 2016 is from one of the top three Premiers Crus of Meursault. It’s one of the most southerly, on southeast facing slopes, with particularly stony soils, and the grapes reach excellent ripeness whilst still retaining a superb grip of minerality. The wine is carefully handcrafted by Jean-Claude Monnier and his son Nicolas. It has all the golden richness you’d expect of a Meursault, with a taut line of freshness. The lush spice tones gained from judicious oak ageing will become more overt with further ageing.)

Morecambe Bay Brown Shrimps are renowned for their delicate taste and unique texture; they have been caught by local Fishermen for hundreds of years.
While the fishing methods may have changed, with the horse and cart being replaced by the tractor, we still follow the same traditional recipe.
Locally caught shrimps are boiled in butter with a secret combination of spices until they are tender. They are then sealed with butter and packed into pots.
A family business started by the owner Les Salisbury who has been fishing for shrimps etc since he was a lad, going out on the horse and cart.
Fishing for shrimps was the main part of the business, and supplying local Hotels and Restaurants throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire with Potted Shrimps and all types of Fish and Game has increased over the years, with a reputation for quality and service.
Furness Fish Poultry and Game Supplies sent all their own shrimps to be processed at the factory in Flookburgh, under the brand name of “Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps”.
The Business thrived in Ulverston, so much so, we outgrew the building and built a modern purpose factory in Flookburgh. These new facility includes:
EC approved plant, 100% veterinary inspection, Cold storage and freezers, Customised map for retail, Overflow packing, Refrigerated and frozen delivery
This new building is next door to the original old Flookburgh Fishermen Factory which has been modernised and mechanical shrimp peelers are installed to peel shrimps in a hygienic environment.

Real musical success seems an unrealistic dream for many people and that’s no surprise given traditional piano teaching methods.
In as little as 5 classes, you too can play the piano competently.
You won’t immediately be a Jools Holland or Elton John but you’ll be able to play some of their songs, as well as music from Bach, Adele, Chopin, Beatles and Oscar Peterson.

Whether you have ambitions to become an accomplished piano player or want to restart your piano lessons after a long break, the London Contemporary School of Piano’s 75-Minute Discovery Session may just be the thing to kickstart your journey.
In this short time frame, we’ll give you a taste of our teaching methods and cover many of the following:

Signed hardback set of Ken Follett’s ‘Century Trilogy’ books
Ken Follett is one of the world’s most successful authors. Over 181 million copies of the 36 books he has written have been sold in over 80 countries and in 40 languages.
Born on June 5th, 1949 in Cardiff, Wales, the son of a tax inspector, Ken was educated at state schools and went on to graduate from University College, London, with an Honours degree in Philosophy – later to be made a Fellow of the College in 1995.
He started his career as a reporter, first with his hometown newspaper the South Wales Echo and then with the London Evening News. Subsequently, he worked for a small London publishing house, Everest Books, eventually becoming Deputy Managing Director.
Ken’s first major success came with the publication of Eye of the Needle in 1978. A World War II thriller set in England, this book earned him the 1979 Edgar Award for Best Novel from the Mystery Writers of America. It remains one of Ken’s most popular books.
In 1989, Ken’s epic novel about the building of a medieval cathedral, The Pillars of the Earth, was published. It reached number one on best-seller lists everywhere and was turned into a major television series produced by Ridley Scott, which aired in 2010. World Without End, the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth, proved equally popular when it was published in 2007.
Ken’s recent book, The Evening and the Morning, was published in September 2020. It is a prequel to The Pillars of the Earth and is set around the year 1,000, when Kingsbridge was an Anglo-Saxon settlement threatened by Viking invaders.
Ken has been active in numerous literacy charities and was president of Dyslexia Action for ten years. He was chair of the National Year of Reading, a joint initiative between government and businesses. He is also active in many local charities and Patron of Home-Start Hertfordshire.
Ken, who loves music almost as much as he loves books, is an enthusiastic bass guitar player. He lives in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with his wife Barbara, the former Labour Member of Parliament for Stevenage. Between them they have five children, six grandchildren and two Labradors.
A majestic trilogy that follows five families through the most dramatic events of twentieth-century world history.
Book 1: Fall of Giants
Ken Follett’s magnificent historical epic begins as five interrelated families move through the momentous dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women’s suffrage.
A thirteen-year-old Welsh boy enters a man’s world in the mining pits. . . . An American law student rejected in love finds a surprising new career in Woodrow Wilson’s White House. . . . A housekeeper for the aristocratic Fitzherberts takes a fateful step above her station, while Lady Maud Fitzherbert herself crosses deep into forbidden territory when she falls in love with a German spy. . . . And two orphaned Russian brothers embark on radically different paths when their plan to emigrate to America falls afoul of war, conscription, and revolution.
From the dirt and danger of a coal mine to the glittering chandeliers of a palace, from the corridors of power to the bedrooms of the mighty, Fall of Giants takes us into the inextricably entangled fates of five families—and into a century that we thought we knew, but that now will never seem the same again. . . .
Book 2 Winter of the World
“This book is truly epic. . . . The reader will probably wish there was a thousand more pages.” —The Huffington Post
Picking up where Fall of Giants, the first novel in the extraordinary Century Trilogy, left off, Winter of the World follows its five interrelated families—American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh—through a time of enormous social, political, and economic turmoil, beginning with the rise of the Third Reich, through the great dramas of World War II, and into the beginning of the long Cold War.
Carla von Ulrich, born of German and English parents, finds her life engulfed by the Nazi tide until daring to commit a deed of great courage and heartbreak . . . . American brothers Woody and Chuck Dewar, each with a secret, take separate paths to momentous events, one in Washington, the other in the bloody jungles of the Pacific . . . . English student Lloyd Williams discovers in the crucible of the Spanish Civil War that he must fight Communism just as hard as Fascism . . . . Daisy Peshkov, a driven social climber, cares only for popularity and the fast set until war transforms her life, while her cousin Volodya carves out a position in Soviet intelligence that will affect not only this war but also the war to come.
Book 3: Edge of Eternity
Ken Follett’s extraordinary historical epic, the Century Trilogy, reaches its sweeping, passionate conclusion.
In Fall of Giants and Winter of the World, Ken Follett followed the fortunes of five international families—American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh—as they made their way through the twentieth century. Now they come to one of the most tumultuous eras of all: the 1960s through the 1980s, from civil rights, assassinations, mass political movements, and Vietnam to the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution—and rock and roll.
East German teacher Rebecca Hoffmann discovers she’s been spied on by the Stasi for years and commits an impulsive act that will affect her family for the rest of their lives. . . . George Jakes, the child of a mixed-race couple, bypasses a corporate law career to join Robert F. Kennedy’s Justice Department and finds himself in the middle of not only the seminal events of the civil rights battle but a much more personal battle of his own. . . . Cameron Dewar, the grandson of a senator, jumps at the chance to do some official and unofficial espionage for a cause he believes in, only to discover that the world is a much more dangerous place than he’d imagined. . . . Dimka Dvorkin, a young aide to Nikita Khrushchev, becomes an agent both for good and for ill as the United States and the Soviet Union race to the brink of nuclear war, while his twin sister, Tanya, carves out a role that will take her from Moscow to Cuba to Prague to Warsaw—and into history.

Case of 24 fantastic natural sodas from Genie Drinks.
Hey, we’re Genie. We make Super Natural Sodas — soft drinks you can enjoy worry-free. That’s because we only put good stuff in. No added sugar, no nasties. Just naturally tasty ingredients, packed with little wins like probiotics and vitamins. Win a mixed case (12 x cans) of our award-winning kombuchas in cans at this auction! http://www.geniedrinks.co.uk
Yeah, yeah. We know. There’s always some crazy health fad company telling you they’ll save your life from the first sip. And there’s always the global drinks corps who know just how to hide the bad stuff with slick marketing.
Well, we decided to go our own way. A soda that tastes as good as anything you’ve ever bought from a bar or a store. But made with stuff that’s just good for you. No tricks, no gimmicks. It took time, and it took a lot of weird and wonderful recipe experiments. But we found what works: natural juices and fermented teas, a few choice plant extracts, and some brilliant probiotics as required.
You’ll feel guilt-free, gut-happy, and totally refreshed.
Alert: here’s where we turn our humble settings down. Because it turns out we’ve got a lot to be proud of. People review our sodas and rate them highly, and some other people even give us nice awards that we stick on the bottles sometimes. That’s worth sharing, surely?
STEP 1
We realised sodas don’t need the bad stuff that doesn’t do you any good. All the sugar, artificial additives and chemicals, even the weird bits that come from animals — we decided to do without.
STEP 2
We added in some simple ingredients that we knew did your body good. Stuff like probiotic cultures, vegan vitamins, and fruit juices that are loaded with healthy nutrients. Or a fermentation process that creates antioxidants and enzymes to make your gut feel great.
STEP 3
We explored every different way of making it taste amazing — and we only say a recipe’s done when it tastes even better than soda without the natural benefits we add in.

'Hawthorns in Winter' 31 X 29cm, framed oil on board by Penelope Anstice
Penelope was born in Scotland and attended Edinburgh College of Art. She lived in the Netherlands, Italy and London before returning to Scotland where she has a studio in Dundee.
Penelope teaches annually at the Heatherleys School of Fine Art in London as well as private groups in Scotland and Spain.
Statement
My main inspiration comes from my native Scotland where the subtly shifting light and its effects over the land hold an endless fascination for me. I favour oil as a medium, I also paint in gouache and watercolour.
I like to paint outside directly from the landscape as much as possible. My work seeks to explore the boundary between realism and abstraction, the point at which an image transcends the purely representational. I enjoy the challenge of getting something down very fast, where a fleeting moment may soon be gone and when I feel I’m painting instinctively. I work larger pieces up back in the studio; using sketches and smaller paintings I start with a direct reference but often the painting moves off in another direction, usually remaining within the realms of realism but becoming more about an evocation of place than a faithful replica.

Medium: Acrylic.
Size: 29cm x 39cms.
Tess paints in acrylic and water colour on traditional surfaces. She has also had great success with commissions for murals. Specialising in trompe d’oeil, some have been painted at a great height on scaffolding! Tess is an intrepid traveller and paints as she goes. Not so long ago she did a 5000-mile cycle ride through seven time zones from Beijing to Venice raising £10,000 for the Scottish Air Ambulance Service with her daughter Francesca. The daring duo cycled from the Sichuan mountains in China to the heart of Europe, following the ancient trade route known as the Silk Road, which took them through desert storms in China, blizzards in Kyrgyzstan and thunderstorms on the Black Sea coast. Throughout the trip Tess, who lives just outside Blairgowrie, painted scenes and people encountered on her travels.

London Sunrise
16"x12"
Oil on board
Daisy Perkins is a classically trained artist based in Camberwell, London. She works across a range of subject matter from portraits on commission, figure drawing, and plein air landscape paintings. London is one of her favourite subjects. She has spent many mornings and evenings painting the sun rising and going to bed over London, working frantically to catch the changing light effects along the Thames. The river ebbs and flows, the light rises and sinks, and the hustle and bustle of the city intensifies and diminishes. This is one in a series of paintings looking at these London rhythms.
Daisy has exhibited regularly in London and the UK, in solo and group exhibitions.

Tour of the Grocers' Hall with Historian Dr Helen Clifford and hosted by Past Master Rupert Uloth, Lady Louisa Uloth and the Clerk, for up to 10 people on a mutually agreed date at 6pm. Followed by a drink after the tour.
Home of the Grocers’ Company since 1426, Grocers’ Hall has managed to adapt to the challenges and changes in City life throughout its 600 year history. Over this time, Grocers’ Hall has seen plagues, the Great Fire of London, two World Wars and a fire that destroyed the Hall in 1965.
The Worshipful Company of Grocers is one of the ‘Great Twelve’ Livery Companies of the City of London, ranking second in the order of precedence - in 1515, the Court of Aldermen of the City of London settled an order of precedence for the 48 livery companies then in existence.
The foundations of the Company can be traced back to the Pepperers, who established a Fraternity in 1345, although they were active in London from at least 1180. The Fraternity was entrusted with the duty of preventing the adulteration of spices and drugs, as well as with the charge of the King's Beam, which weighed the bulk merchandise in which they dealt. By at least 1373 the Fraternity was known as the Company of Grocers. The name Grocer probably derives from the Latin, grossarius, one who buys and sells in the gross, in other words, a wholesale merchant in spices and foreign produce.
Today, we play a significant role in the City’s constitutional and ceremonial life, including the election of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs. With the valuable industry and support of our members nationwide, we maintain and develop the fundamental ethos embodied in our early Ordinances, as well as being, in the words of the Company Clerk in 1682, ‘a nursery of charities and a seminary of good citizens’.
Auction experience must be used within one year of auction.

Dinner for 2 at Ottolenghi Upper Street, plus a signed copy of OTK: Shelf Love
Ottolenghi Islington is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - to eat in or take away from the deli. Located opposite the Almeida, it is a pre-theatre favourite, as well as a much-loved local institution to long-time regulars and first time guests alike.
Our Islington location takes reservations for dinner, from 5:30pm but not for breakfast or lunch – try to make it extra early if you are planning on a weekend brunch!
Seating in the restuarant is mostly on long, communal tables but there are a handful of tables for two. Please let us know at the point of booking if you have a seating preference.
OTK Shelf Love
Whether they're conjuring up new recipes or cooking for themselves at home, the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen team do what we all do: they raid their kitchens. But then, they turn whatever they find into approachable creations with an 'Ottolenghi' twist.
This instinct is in perfect sync with recent times, when we've all been standing in front of our kitchen shelves, our cupboards and our fridges, wondering what to cook with what we've got; how to put a can of chickpeas or a bag of frozen peas to good use, instead of taking an extra trip to the shops.
For the first time, the team welcome us into their creative space. These dishes pack all the punch and edge you'd expect from Ottolenghi, but offer more flexibility to make them your own, using what you've got to hand. There's the ultimate guide to creamy dreamy hummus, a one-pan route to confit tandoori chickpeas and a tomato salad that rules them all.
This book is all about feeding ourselves and our families with less stress and less fuss, but with all the 'wow' of an Ottolenghi meal. It's a notebook to scribble on and add to, to take its ethos and absolutely make it your own.
This is how to cook, the OTK way.

Painting by Felicity Nicol with gold leaf frame
Title: After shopping, Nyaungshwee, Myanmar
Oil and wax on canvas on board
60 x 43 cms
About Filly Nicol:
What makes me paint:
I have always sketched and played with colour, but not until I completed a course at the Leith School of Art did I seriously begin to think about painting and putting it into practice.
I now paint from a studio in Edinburgh and of all the things I have done in my life, painting is without doubt the most absorbing, frustrating, satisfying and demanding.
Water in particular fascinates me as do people going about their daily lives. That includes the sounds, smells and colours that surround them and, to me, their animals are also a very important part of their world. I take in the plays of light and wind in skies, on land and on water and the atmospheres and scenes in towns, countrysides and deserts. With oil and beeswax I set out my impressions of what attracts my attention and my senses.
Solo Exhibitions:
2014 Piers Feetham Gallery, London
2011 Leith School of Art
Mixed exhibitions:
Anthony Woodd Gallery, Edinburgh
Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh
The Gallery at Macnaughtan’s Bookshop, Edinburgh
Lymphoy House Exhibition, Edinburgh
Kirkbride Gallery, Innerleithen

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
