The process of creating a portrait of YOU or a LOVED ONE
The process - I meet with the client and get to know them and what they would like in their portrait. My portrait has palms to represent my garden room where I relax and grow huge plants, vintage china that I collect and use, images of Marrakesh my favourite place, vintage costume jewellery and of course cake!

The client provides a photo of themselves that I cut out and retouch if required, this is the central part of the collage that I surround with meaningful images and words e.g a name, a saying, a statement or a logo.

I then either meet with the client again or send them a photograph to make any changes before the collage is transferred onto canvas. I then embellish with glitter varnish, paint, gems, crystals and trinkets. The following stage is to add the high gloss resin and then frame the artwork. The client can also choose the frame colour.

Please donate £25 NOW to help provide a Toolkit Grant for a medical student facing financial hardship during their studies to help them on their way to becoming an NHS doctor of the future.

A donation of £50 can provide 1 hour of therapy for a carer or the people they care for.

The Victoria Foundation has pledged to continue to fund over 200 hours of therapy to over 50 carers and the people they care for in our local community through the work of Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston.

The therapy will take place be in the Therapy Rooms at CCR&K, which The Victoria Foundation funded from the proceeds of its fundraising ball in 2019, and will provide a ‘Caring’ experience to help prevent family breakdown and crisis for Parent Carers and Children and Young People with physical, emotional and medical disabilities.

This will also help to reduce exhaustion and frustration, together with feelings of depression and isolation, all of which are contributing to factors leading to family breakdown.

Your support is so appreciated and will help to support the care needs of this vulnerable and particularly socially isolated group in our local community.

DONATE £100 to TVF's Special Wheels Appeal towards an accessible minibus for Strathmore School.

The proceeds of the main auction this evening will support TVF’s Special Wheels Appeal for an accessible minibus for Strathmore School.

Strathmore is a special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities.

Strathmore’s minibus, which is more than12 years old, is no longer fit for purpose as it cannot be used within the ULEZ which limits its usefulness and has started to cost significant sums in terms of servicing.

TVF has pledged a grant of £21,000 to Strathmore, matching the funds the school has available, so that it can purchase the accessible minibus it urgently needs.

Strathmore's goal is to ensure that learners leave the school as independent as they are able to be and to this end place huge value on ensuring visibility and participation in the wider community - the new accessible minibus will really help the school to reach its goal.
