A Place to Play - One Month of Fun-Raising

A Place to Play is the James Gillespie's school playground project which aims to transform the James Gillespie's playground into an inspiring place to play and learn for the school and community. The vision is to create more scope for physical variety, den building, gardening and collaborative and imaginative play as well as outdoor learning.

This is our fundraising community page for our month long Fun-Raising push from 11th Sept to 9th Oct. We have raised £65,000 for the playground, but if we all want to make the design from Grounds for Learning a reality we still need £11,500 more which will be matched by Sportscotland to give a grand total of £88,000.

There are lots of ways you can get behind the project and raise funds and every £1 you raise will be doubled by SportScotland. This Fun-Raising community page lets you know about the various events we are running and how you can get involved.  We are very lucky to have parents who have kindly volunteered their time to help us put on some really fun and interesting events.

Some parents responded to our survey on the playground project saying they wanted to donate directly, you can do this by hitting the donate button above. You can also find out on this page about employee match funding schemes, please click to find out more.

Many thanks
