Fundraise for Samuel and the Caudwell Children’s Charity

Sturgeon Ventures is celebrating 18 years of great working relationships.  Turning 18 usually signifies being given a key/change to life.  With this in mind we are hoping that with this fundraising event we will also be in a position to give a key to one little chap to change his life forever.

Samuel is the son of Becky, one of our consultants at Sturgeon.  Samuel is 7 and was born with Cerebral Palsy.  The muscles in his legs are tight and will continue to get tighter as he grows reducing his mobility.  Apart from that he is a happy little boy who loves cars and football.

Great Ormond Street Hospital have advised that  alternative physiotherapy techniques and an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy “SDR” would be life changing for him and enable him to live a normal functional and independent life.  But this is currently not available to him on the NHS. The cost of the operation and follow up physio is around £50,000, if we are lucky to raise anything higher than that that, then any money surplus to what Samuel needs will go to The Caudwell Children’s Charity, who will in turn help other children achieve their dreams.

To bid please see the bold type below. Or if you would prefer to donate please click on the ‘donate’ button.

Please help us by bidding on the wonderful auction items listed here, or you can donate direct via this website.  The bidding works just like most auction sites, if you put in a maximum bid your bid will increase automatically, in increments, up to your maxmum bid when another bidder inputs a bid above your bid but below your maximum bid.  If you are the highest bidder at the close of online bidding on the 27th April, your maximum bids will be carried forward to the auction evening where the guests can try and outbid you!  If they don’t you will be the winner and will be contacted on the 29th April to arrange payment and delivery of your item.  So make sure you put your maximum bid at the highest you want to go to give you the best chance of keeping it!
