We invite you to experience La Marea, a beautiful 3 bedroom ocean front property set on the northwest point of the Caribbean island of Antigua. La Marea is a tropical haven offering an experience of casual tropical living with and added note of luxury.

The Villa, with three ensuite bedrooms, all uniquely decorated in a simple and elegant style, can host up to six guests. The two master suites each have separate indoor and outdoor showers, one with a king and one with a queen size bed; the third bedroom also has a queen size bed.
The large living room opens directly onto the pool deck with its stunning overflow pool, and just beyond this, a dramatic gazebo lounge directly over the sea. Inside, the living/dining spaces have high, white ceilings and tall openings which bring in the sunlight. Annexed off the dining room with a window opening onto the tropical gardens, is a cozy lounge area with books, media and board games, created to enjoy quiet reading or TV time.
Through a high archway from the adjacent dining area, is a large fully equipped gourmet kitchen which includes another smaller dining area overlooking the garden and the sea, an ideal spot to enjoy breakfast.
La Marea is 10 minutes from the airport and convenient for shops and restaurants. It is also the perfect base from which to explore the beauty and delights that Antigua has to offer, including historical Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour, zip-lining in the rainforest, the markets of St John’s and Antigua’s remarkable 365 beaches.
With its waterfront location, visitors to La Marea will find an array of amenities and activities to ensure they get the most of their time on the island: snorkeling, paddle-boarding, fishing, kiteboarding, kayaking, sailing, riding and golf are all available. The auction winner can choose to meet the Ashton's either in Littleton, Winchester, or at Canford School. The car seats four and has a canvas top but no side screens so dry weather is always to be preferred.
The prize will include a short introduction to the car which has quite a history that has been well documented, particularly between 1933 and 1939. Then a drive for up to three passengers nominated by the auction winner. The timing and distance of the drive would be between 30 minutes and an hour and would be a mix of open road and town driving. Finally, some group photos can be taken, either at Canford or a picturesque spot near Littleton. Photographs will be takes and processed.

As with many pre-war cars, this Lynx eventually needed a complete rebuild which included a new engine with more power than standard. It runs well and cruises nicely at 50 mph on an open road.
The car is comprehensively insured as a Classic but has no seat belts fitted in keeping with its history. Passengers are asked to accept this proviso. As a valuable historic vehicle it will be driven with due care and consideration.

Even if you have never conducted before, if you can clap in time you can enjoy the experience of directing Canford’s fabulous jazz band in their annual concert on Friday 11th March 2022. The winner of this auction item will have a pre-concert ‘briefing’ and practice session with Chris Sparkhall, and will then take to the stage at the concert to direct the Band in one of their numbers. If you are free earlier in the week, there will be the chance to practise with the band in their normal rehearsal slot.
